In the last year, we have used Derek Malcolms office for a home closing, will revision, and writing of custom lease agreements. We have found him to be knowledgeable, attentive and responsive, a good communicator, and just an all-around good guy to work and meet with. Not having much experience with legal issues previously, it meant a lot to us that he was easy to talk with and answered our questions graciously and in detail. We would definitely use his office again and recommend him to family and friends!

If you value your time and money do not use this law firm. With the selling of my property they made error after error on the deed and Ive been taxed on the property for multiple years because of this error. With several contacts they have been slow, wrote another deed that was still incorrect. And Im still dealing with this issue. Communication is poor and I wouldnt trust them with any real estate law needs you may have.

Absolute incompetence. These folks have manage surpass any expectations of idiocy that I had pertaining to a real estate closing. My business partner and I have multiple investment properties and are no strangers to these transactions. They asked for the same documents multiple times, made up rules that they claimed were the law. Absolutely no communication among the five different people who contacted me for various things. Withheld the wire transfer until I read them the numbers over the phone after verifying 3 different ways including a notarized document with the closing papers.

I used Derek Malcolm's Office for the closing of my home in TN and the closing went very smooth (I was out of state during this process). Call about 8 months later for another request in which they were very prompt with the information that I needed and helped me with filing. I would reach out to them with any other closings or legal items.
