Great experience for such a stressful situation. Calls & emails were always answered promptly. I was prepared well in advance for any & all future expectations, which eased a lot of stress. Charlie was calm & understanding to all of the questions I had. I never felt rushed with phone calls or meetings. Kathy his paralegal is the absolute BEST. 6 years after my case started it ended with pretty great results. Charlie did his best to make sure all the loose ends of this case had been tied up the best they can be, legally speaking. TN law is a mess. I'm glad I had Yates and Wheland there with me to navigate such a tremendously confounding law system. I have my custody and all the matching paperwork. All issues that can be solved by the courts have been. Thank you Yates and Wheland!

Charlie worked for years on my "case that wouldn't end". It required patience and grace that I did not have alone. Thanks to the diligence of this office I now am on my daughter's birth certificate and have primary custody. Life is good. I thank Yates and Wheland for that, and in particular Mr. Charlie Wheland. They forever have my gratitude for sweeping up all the pieces of this giant mess of a case. Side note: I have custody and I'm still paying child support. TN law needs to change this, as it's an abhorrent misuse of funds meant to care for a child.
