Only giving one star just to be able to type a reviewotherwise I would give ZEROthese people are crooksto make a long story shortmy 3 children have been with Sylvan since May of 2022 & I have taken out over $14,000 in student loans sincemy kids have progressed very little not as much as they said they wouldI asked for a refund due to feeling like have been overcharged & not completing all of the services as was told this last loan would take me through next year & was only refunded a total of $3,396I find it hard to believe that my kids have had $9,000 worth of tutoring from May 2022-August 2023John should be ashamed of himself for not taking my calls when I call to inquire about this & for taking advantage of people the way he does!

The instructors that worked with my daughter were fantastic but I did not really notice much improvement in her studies. My daughter no longer needs Sylvan and I followed the proper procedure stated in the contract to withdrawal my daughter and it has been impossible to get anyone to contact me to confirm our withdrawal. I have sent an email every week for the past month, sent text messages and called the office with NO RESPONSE. The gentleman running this facility should be ashamed at his lack of communication. You should not operate a business if you cannot respond to emails. Of course their has been no problems with them taking the monthly payment out of my account! I do NOT recommend Sylvan Cookeville to anyone unless you are looking to pay around 3k to be completely ignored by the individual running this facility!

Had to stop going during covid because they closed and the outbreak. Paid 1000s upfront and after eveything was over just asked for a refund since we barely used half of the money. After several attempts finally talked to someone and they said they had a bunch of fees and bonuses they had to take off my account and only left me $50. They said they would mail me a check. Never heard from them again or never received my check. By my calculation it should have been close to $600. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
