Lake Haven Family Campground

Awesome RV Campground! Nicely spaced, easily accessible utilities, and close to Dollar General for last-minute items and ice. You can choose between a sunny site or full shade. Large new firepits, patio area next to your camper with picnic tables. There's lots to see locally in Elizabethton and Johnson City. Fishing licenses available at Walmart or online. We really enjoyed Troyer's market in Limestone. Old time market with good cheese and fresh meat selections. Five stars for all aspects of our stay! Nearby activities: So many historic sites. Easy to plan a whole day's worth of activities. Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, and lots of others. Wifi is available - good service.

First class! .... also close to waterfront national park, picnicking, boating, fishing ... and our favorite, wineries! ... don't forget to stop by the 'Brewrista and the Bean' coffee shop and 'Patriot Popcorn' Company!

You can't beat the views at this campground. I really enjoyed sitting by the fire at night watching the sun set over the mountains while looking at the lake. Lynne & Chuck are top-notch hosts who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant.

Amazing campground and a great host. The owners of this place are amazing and very friendly. The campground is very nice and the location is beautiful. Great view of the Smokies and Watauga lake. I will absolutely be coming back here in the future.

Just spent a wonderful weekend at Lake Haven family campground. Lynne and Chuck were great hosts, very attentive and informative. Campground is new, clean, spacious and provides spectacular long range views and wide open night sky viewing. After enjoying the sunsets we sat by the fire evenings (firewood provided) and saw a few shooting stars. Great hiking close byloved the Laurel Falls hike. At the suggestion of Hellbenders outfitters went kayaking on Wilbur lake which topped the list of best things we did all weekend. Simply spectacular. We planned to eat in so cannot speak to local restaurant scene other than we did stop for a snack at Big Dans Bbq in Elizabethtown and it was very good. Would have liked to try the brewery next door but it didnt open until later. We didnt even get a chance to check out Watuga Lake other than drive around a bit and it looks beautiful. We are already planning our next trip and will definitely stay at Lake Haven campground again. Nearby activities: Plenty of great hikes and outdoor recreation Noteworthy details: Wide open night sky viewing and long range views. Great hosts. Very clean
