I've seen Ms./Mrs. Douglas on 2 or 3 separate occasions; none of these occasions did she do any work whatsoever other than X-Rays or asking me to open my mouth only to look in it. I need 7 or 8 NONSURGICAL teeth removed on the bottom as well as one at the top. This woman had me drive an hour to be told she was just going to refer me to an oral surgeon (which I asked her not to do due to my insurance). She has never even preformed a cleaning on my teeth AT THE SCHEDULED TIME. I feel she has made every attempt to avoid helping me whatsoever. All my lower teeth are in dire need of being pulled or root Canaled; I can not even brush with anything more than water. Insurance denied the root canals so I opted to have them pulled which requires no prior approval, this woman had me drive all the way to Jackson to tell me she wasn't actually pulling anything that day; so she referred me to an oral surgeon (I DO NOT NEED ANETHESHIA). These are not surgical extractions!! So of course my insurance denied the authorization on top of the fact she didn't even correctly number my teeth so they can't approve teeth that have already been pulled because she did not take the time to be correct; I attempted to speak to the receptionist about this issue today and was told I was yelling at her when I was literally reading her what dentaquest sent back about the authorizations of the procedures; the receptionist then places me on the phone with the "manager" because "she's not gonna deal with me yelling at her", so I explain to the manager I just want them pulled no surgery and the manager began to act as if I am illknowledged about dentistry and told me if the were put down for surgery that's what had to happen (mind you the dentist did this and claimed I told her I wanted to be put to sleep) I politely asked on March 18th for her to at least pull one or two of the teeth to which I was told no, I guess to prolong my pain. After being placed on the phone with the manager and acting like I was raised by nuns pleading for help with my mouth I was then hung up on for asking why she wouldn't just pull them and told something along the lines of "I can't just go over the dentist's head if they're surgical" WHICH THEY ARE NOT. & GOT HUNG UP ON. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. She also acts like I can't make decisions for my own teeth and almost as if she was hoping my tenncare would lapse and I would have to pay her out of pocket. Jokes on her now she won't be getting mine nor my insurance company's money. Would not be back if they were the last dentist in America. I've spoken to dentaquest and they confirmed that they are all nonsurgical and a complaint has been filed. Really hope she doesn't do this to every tenncare patient.
