DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jackson

We arrived we had 2 rooms both had not been cleaned one had bottle waters still In the fridge the other had a dirty wash cloth in the shower. A glass that sit outside our room and was never cleaned up. Also in the ice machine area a whole hole that was dripping water. We were in town for an funeral so we ran and went to the store came back cause it was only one person working the front desk had to wait over 45 mins to get help. the front desk worker said when he got in busy he would come and clean our room. Since he was the only one working I dont see how this is possible. He gave us free breakfast. Went to happy hour the bartender told us she couldnt fix a lemon drop she didnt have time and even tho happy hour was posted around the hotel no happy hour. So we left the restaurant and ate else were. When we went to breakfast the next morning before the funeral my mother and daughter ate which the breakfast was horrible eggs not fully cooked not a lot of options I took a bite and it wasnt pleasing so I didnt make a plate. as we were leaving the waitress came with a bill for me which I refused to pay she told me well give the other voucher which I said no she said well you can only use it for today I replied why only today if we are still here tomorrow she said something rude and when I asked her to repeat she walked off . Mind you this is before going to my sisters funeral. I left messages with mangers and at the call center no return call nothing I will never stay at another Hilton and Im a rewards member and was suppose to go to Orlando for a time share through Hilton which I will now not be going worse experience at a horrible time in my families life we had multiple rooms and we all had issues that were never resolved. This definitely did not hit Hilton standards and i nor my family had ever stayed in a double tree this bad. Aj at the front desk was the best thing out of this stay! I want to hear from somebody cause this was horrible!!!!!

They rented our room to someone else while we were still in there.

Slow drain sink. Place smells like cheap car oderizer. Desk clerk was in training and gazed at the monitor for 10 minutes . When I asked him what was wrong, he walked off, not a word. The trainer arrived 5 min later and accused me of being impatient. Had I not prepaid would have walked out. One elevator out of service, for ever. This hotel is almost at it's end. Don't go down with the ship.

Rooms really need updating for the price range. Elevator was down and unfortunately I was on the top floor with 3 suitcases and a purse. Things happen I understand but still the hotel is in need of updating. Noteworthy details: Outdated for the price. Location is good. Staff is helpful.
