Sleep Inn & Suites Kingsport TriCities Airport

Ive stayed here a multiple times over the years- this has been my go to place anytime Im in the area visiting my wifes parents. Unfortunately after tonight, it will be my last. The male that was working the front desk tonight 4/6/24 was incredibly rude and condescending. The lady is as wonderful as she has always been. Theres nicer hotels at a similar price point in the area. People that arent service oriented and people friendly shouldnt be in the hospitality business.

Convenient location with truck parking, restaurants close by . Just too many junk fees , I booked through choice hotel app and arrived early, front desk said there was a 25$ fee which I wasnt happy about but agreed to. Then later there was a 2.85$ fee on the base rate after taxes. Then the 25$ early check in fee , for a hour and a half early mind you, turned into $ 30.13 later in the afternoon. Three different charges on my card . Be aware the bottom line will be more .

Awsome place to stay the front desk agents are very nice so please go stay at this hotel they will make you feel right at home.

We have been staying here a couple of times a year on our way to visit family in Nashville for over 12 years. While it is still a clean place to stay, we have seen a decline in overall condition, amenities and service since the recent change in ownership. While the breakfast area was always small, it was functional and offerings used to be decent. Now, you won't find a single pastry, granola bar, muffin or donut. The newest surprise is a surcharge for using a credit card, though you obviously cannot reserve without a credit card. It's just another marketing strategy to mislead "valued" customers when price shopping. Small wonder that the owner does not take the time to acknowledge and greet customers when he is overseeing the employees at the front desk or lobby. The general staff do work hard and are always friendly; they have always been wonderful and are the greatest asset of this declining hotel. There are plenty of other accommodations in the area to choose from, so we will not be staying there again.
