Having previously worked in the office for this community, I was excited to return as a resident to The Monroe, attracted by its prime location in Germantown and its initial quality upon opening in 2017. However, I have been completely shocked at the rapidly declining condition of the property since moving in three months ago. While property aging is inevitable, its deterioration has been rapid, indicating a lack of maintenance by the property management company and ownership. My primary concerns revolve around security and sanitation. Many security access doors are out of order, allowing unrestricted access to residential hallways, and the parking garage security gate has been damaged for over a month, left propped open. The recent break-in at the package room only exacerbates these concerns. Additionally, sanitation issues persist, with multiple trash chute room accesses locked and trash piling up on designated floors, creating an unsanitary and unpleasant environment. Instead of addressing the root cause, management's solution has been inadequate, reflecting poorly on their regard for the building and its residents. Despite reaching out to the corporate office twice, I have yet to receive a return call from the Regional Manager. These issues require immediate attention from property ownership and higher management. While The Monroe may have once been desirable, its current state leaves much to be desired. Despite the onsite team efforts, this property will not improve until upper management and ownership provide adequate resources to improve. Prospective residents should carefully consider these concerns before committing to this community.

Dealing with India on leases, move in dates, and all other details of renting has been an absolute delight. She is SO good at what she does and an absolute pleasure to work with!!!!!!! The Monroe itself is really nice and perfectly located in Germantown with great access to shopping, dining and entertainment. I would highly recommend.

GIRL, DON'T DO IT. I paid $2000 a month to live in SQUALOR. I was fooled by the beautiful photos on the website and signed a lease unseen, since I was moving from out of state. Big mistake. I've lived in over 10 apartments throughout my life and this was by far the worst. I'm attaching not just 1 photo, but a whole album that a few residents contributed to of evidence of the dirtiness, overflowing trash rooms, vomit and dust in the stairwells, the gnat infestation, missing door handles to enter the building, etc. Everytime I would have visitors they would comment on how bad the hallways smelled. I emailed management many times about some of my grievances, and I feel like they always fell on deaf ears. Over the 1 year I lived there: the garage door was constantly broken - I had friends have their bikes, belongings and even CAR stolen. There was zero security - doors were constantly propped wide open, or locks were broken so anyone could enter. Packages were always stolen from the package room. A few times I had someone jiggle my apartment door handle like they were trying to enter my apartment. I emailed management about it and to no one's surprise I never got an answer. I felt wildly unsafe. EVERYONE I know who lived in this building has moved out. I wouldn't be surprised if the building is now at 10% occupancy. I should've known because on my move in day they didn't even have my key on premises, and gave me zero instructions. I'm now living at another building in Germantown and it's unreal the difference in management. My mental health is so much better now that I don't have to deal with the incompetent front desk people or have gnats for roommates.

Horrible living experience. The staff is unresponsive and very difficult to deal with (let alone get ahold of). There have been countless issues - including a dead squirrel left in the hallway for multiple days, maintenance taking over a month to fulfill requests, and the apartment losing their key to my unit. To anyone seeing this, trust me when I say chose a different apartment. Adding to my review as I see no other way of contacting management. I am seriously in awe at the service and staff at the Monroe. The team is replying to my review for show, but no one replies to my emails. I have been emailing the manager, Tish Bates for 2 months now and have not received a reply. Ive never experienced a more unprofessional, irresponsible team of people. To potential future residents, please consider this when making a decision of where to move.
