I brought my truck in for an oil change, greasing, replacing a brake shoe, and DOT inspection. They said they had two trucks ahead of me that were in for "drivability issues", and they would call me when I brought it in. I called mark, and he explained over the phone what was going on with these other trucks, and it would take a few days. My truck would have taken only a few hours to do, and they could have done it while waiting on parts or customer approval for the other trucks. I waited for over a week. They didn't call me, and didn't answer my multiple calls or even call me back. Then, this morning (Wednesday), I got a text message saying they couldn't get to my truck until next week due to "unforseen events". I called the number, and a woman answered. She said that she was the only one working, and she was on a road call for "one of our best customers". I understand the importance of road calls, but still, my truck was there for OVER A WEEK. It wasn't "waiting on parts". They just hadn't gotten to it, despite me saying previously that I needed to have it done by a certain day. Rather than calling me on monday and saying they wouldn't be able to get to me, they waited until Wednesday. If they had told me on monday, "hey, we're swamped. Sorry for making you wait. If you want your truck done before the weekend, you should go to someone else.", I would have understood. Things happen. The way they handled this was entirely unprofessional. I picked up my truck and then I found a different mechanic, who was able to start working on my truck immediately. I will never use scott's truck service in the future. Nor will I recommend them to anyone. Edit in response to Scott's truck service's reply: 1. You tried to make it sound like I was trying for 2 years to get my truck diagnosed over the phone. That is a lie. Every question I asked was in regards to work I needed to get done. Not diagnostics. Questions such as, "how much do you reckon this repair will cost me?". Answering questions like that is part of the business of running a mechanic shop. 2. You claim I demanded to be put in front of other trucks. That is simply a flat out lie. Did I ask if you could work it in? Yes. but demand? No. 3. I was told, "there's two trucks ahead of you, and I have to finish these before I can get to you". NOT "we're really busy and we'll have to try to work you in." 4. As I said, I understand that stuff happens. Emergencies come up. I get that. But the way it was handled was entirely unprofessional. You were aware of when I had to get the truck done. When it was clear that you would be unable to get it done, such as the previous friday or on monday, THAT is when you should have called and said "sorry, but stuff came up. we're sorry, but we will be unable to get to your truck by the time you need it. we recommend that you find a different shop if you want it done by the time you gave us." Give customers a straight answer. Don't just keep their truck for over a week and not call them. That being said, I will enjoy my antique truck, and I hope Mark has a speedy recovery.

We had SO MANY trips to International in Murray, thousands of dollars. Brought it to Scott's and it is FINALLY FIXED!!! They stayed in constant contact with us about the issues they were finding and updates on when it would be ready. We understand (being in the service industry ourselves) that good work takes time and is worth paying for. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Customer called us for over two years and asked various questions which we answered for FREE. Then when we’re covered up with work he brings his truck demanding we’re out in front of our regular customers. Customer was told when he brought it were would try and work it in. But circumstances beyond our control prevented us from getting to it as fast as an impatient customer. We will always put our regular customers first and I will not waiver from that. Hope you the best with your antique truck.
