    Let me just tell you this situation that happened and let you draw your own conclusions. -eerie was my auto first insurance policy when I started driving, over a few fender benders through the years, everything was fair and even generous. -homeowners insurance gave us a great policy with our first home built in 2016. No issues. They even gave us a discount for bundling with auto this discount shows up again later -bought a different home built in 1877 (I know), no questions or inspections, they write the policy, but auto went way up! We switched and now only have errie for h/o. -within 60 days of having the h/o policy they send us a letter outlining many minuscule things we needed to fix or else they drop us -in our 100+ yr old house, we had a leak in an upstairs bathroom that caused water to drip from a downstairs ceiling. I called the insurance office to inquire about what a claim might look like and if its worth it. Ended up not filing a claim (or so I thought) -then booma tree falls on the house, branch comes through the metal roof and through drywall in the kitchen. - when I tell you they moved SLOW it was so slow. Im talking this issue happened 7/1 and we didnt get any money for repairs until late September. -guess what? *notice of non renewal* due to frequency of claims. WE ONLY HAD THE ONE CLAIM ): -they dropped us while this active claim was still open. Did you know that other insurance providers wont provide coverage if you have damage to your home, have an active claim, or if youve been non renewed? Anyway, it was a very stressful race to line up repairs in time for our new policy to take affect. After all the dust settles and we no longer have eerie insurance, I get a letter that says I owe eerie $79. It said on the letter that it would be paid via escrow account. Well it didnt. (I later understood that its because we no longer had them as insurance providers) so after 30 days of nonpaymenteven though I thought it would be paid via escrow like it stated on the letter they send it to collections. I was confused about this $79. What was that for? It took 3 calls and an office visit for them to figure out that they retro charged this discount left over from when we dropped them For auto. Petty. It was a nightmare. I would not wish this foolery on anyone. And you know what the condescending lady in the office told me when I voiced my complaints? This is all insurance right now Wow. I would not recommend this Dennis young insurance to a friend. Stay away. Seriously a negative experience and they put us in a very tough situation when they nonrenewed our policy amidst an active claim. We had exactly 45 days notice to find a new provider. We had that notice of no renewal before we had any claim money for repairs!

    Im very pleased with the customer service and response from Dennis Young Insurance (Erie). Shawn addressed my concerns regarding policies. Switching from my previous carrier is a savings of $1500/year. I have referred several people and will continue to do so. It is hard to find someone so responsive and invested when it comes to insurance.
