I moved into Newport with high hopes, drawn by its appealing exterior and promises of a comfortable living environment. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share the multitude of issues I've encountered during my stay. First and foremost, the insulation in the apartments is abysmal. During the winter months, the temperature inside my apartment would routinely plummet to a chilling 50 degrees, making it nearly impossible to stay warm without resorting to excessive use of heaters, which, in turn, led to astronomical electricity bills. Conversely, the summer months were equally unbearable, with indoor temperatures soaring to an uncomfortable 85 degrees. This lack of proper insulation not only impacted my comfort but also significantly increased my living costs. Parking at the complex is another significant issue. Despite assurances that parking regulations would be strictly enforced, I've found the reality to be the opposite. Residents and visitors alike seem to park wherever they please without repercussion, often taking up spaces designated for other tenants. This lack of enforcement has led to frequent frustrations and unnecessary stress in finding parking near my apartment. Moreover, the gated access promised to residents is a feature in name only. The gates rarely function as intended, often being left wide open or inoperable, which compromises the security of the property and its residents. This has been a persistent issue despite repeated complaints to management. Lastly, the landscaping, or rather the lack thereof, is disheartening. What was once promised as well-maintained green spaces have turned into neglected areas that detract from the complex's overall appeal. The absence of effort in maintaining the landscaping is evident and contributes to a sense of neglect throughout the property. In conclusion, my experience at Newport has been deeply disappointing. The issues with insulation, parking enforcement, gate functionality, and landscaping are indicative of a broader disregard for resident satisfaction and comfort. I regret my decision to move here and advise potential tenants to consider these serious issues before committing to living at Newport.

I have been living here fir over 5 years, my goid neighbor Yuni Drury 25 years. This management company MAYFAIR out of Dallas has taken over property and has let the weeds take over the grounds, No one is mowing the grounds, the Pool is turning green, and stinks, we all have noticed nothing being fixed or cleaned up since MAYFAIR MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER. OUR ONLY GUYS WHO HAVE WORKED THEIR BUTTS TO KEEP THIS PLACE GOING HAVE ALL QUIT, DUE TO THE FACT THIS COMPANY HAS TO GET APPROVAL BEFORE ANYTHING CAN BE FIXED, THIS IS RIDICULOUS ! IM HOPING THE OWNER WILL COME TO SEE HIS PROPERTY , IF NOT THIS WHOLE APARTMENT COMPLEX WILL BE EMPTY BECAUSE NOBODY IS HAPPY LIVING IN TJIS CONDITIONS. THANK YOU,

Ever since Mayfair management took over Newport apartments doesn't look the same, weeds are out of control, I have not seen the pool green dirty and stinky. Our friendly trustworthy maintenance people had to quit, because this company has to be notified and wait for approval Before starting anything that has to be repaired , who is going to repair water leaks, or anything without a maintenance department, hopefully the owner will reconsider his decision and give hire someone else to get this place in order, if this I really enjoy living here, and pray things go back to the way it was before Mayfair took over.

I can honestly say that I was more comfortable in a homeless shelter. The floors creak so badly that every step your upstairs neighbor takes is TORTURE! The neighbors above me have had 9 guests stay here, balcony parties you could hear on Ridgemont, run a laundry business, brought in extra fridge for hostel they were running, 6-7 hour long parties 2 or 3 nights a week. Drilling, sawing, hammering daily for 3 months. They have come to my door yelling and cussing at me for complaining. The retaliation was from complaining that I couldn't do my therapy at home and Sunday night parties. I asked for help from management. They were "working on a solution" for 3 weeks, while I was too triggered to leave my home. New management decided that there was no other unit I could move into that the same thing wouldn't happen. I can pay out my lease and give 60 day notice! So, the 61 year old disabled vet can pay thousands of dollars to move. I'm the nuisance for complaining. I looked at the new website, and it states that the apartment homes I moved into are now "affordable housing" Mayfair logo should be: "We turn your home into a slum with your rent money". It seems as if their goal is to make people who can afford it pay out their lease to make room for the migrants. They are doing inspections with notes that were a day old when posted on Easter weekend. A week of entering with no time windows whatsoever. They treat the tenants like chattel. Most of these management cartels at least pretend to be nice while they take away amenities and fund their takeover with tenants' rent. Not these people. The woman from Mayfair was the rudest person I've ever given over a grand a month to. Don't believe recent good reviews. Fake accounts with one review are suss.
