Quick to dispatch for the diagnosis of our washing machine issue, then once they charged me the FULL repair amount on the spot to come back and do the job later, ZERO follow-up. Tech was a no-call no-show for three separate appointments. Sears repair customer service number is a gigantic auto-attendant that will ALWAYS tell you to go to the website then promptly hang up on you, unless you navigate to sales to schedule a new repair. (The website is always down w/ a 505 error anyway, and even when it's up, all you can do is pick yet another date for your technician to ghost you on.) When talking to a live agent, they either hang up on you, or forward you to another "repair care" department which is just endless hold music. (2 hours last time I tried waiting for a rep to pick up). I was willing to work with Sears if I could get some reassurance that the tech would show up, but ultimately I just wanted a refund for all my time they wasted with us sitting here handwashing laundry, and the multiple evenings I've spent struggling with their useless phone support. The sales rep I spoke with could not even figure out how to forward me to their repair care dept the last time I called, it just kept trying to send me to the dreaded auto-hang-up robot. She finally gave up and said it may just be best to dispute the charges with my credit card company! Bless that rep for at least being honest... hope they don't discipline her for trying to actually be helpful instead of just hanging up on me like the previous 6 or so reps did. Either way, that's exactly what I just did. I have no confidence they will ever honor their end and come out to make the repairs, and with zero recourse through Sears' atrocious support line, the only option is to dispute the credit card charges and find a different vendor to fix our washer. This has been the most infuriating experience I've had with any vendor since Blockbuster charged me a late fee on Titanic. *UPDATE* LOL I went to their Facebook page in a desperate attempt to seek some kind of remedy for this situation, and not only did I receive zero response, I saw tons of posts from people in the exact same boat I'm in. PLEASE, if you are reading this, avoid the nightmare repair purgatory that is Sears. Call a local handyman who actually cares about their reputation.
