Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Abilene

Probably the worst Marriot hotel that Ive stayed in. My room was NOT ready and was told by staff that it would take 30 minutes to get it ready. An hour and a half later, the room still wasnt ready! The staff sorely lacks urgency and needs more customer service training. Addressed the issue with the GM and GM doesnt take responsibility and claims all issues were resolved. I will address the issues myself by not staying in this property ever again and recommend better hotels when staying in Abilene.

Room was clean, pool was fun (but not very warm), staff friendly, but elevator was a little worrisome. Decent location near a Target, Natural Grocers, restaurants and highway. Food & drinks: Awesome breakfast! So many options. My favorite was the oatmeal with all the toppings. Prettily displayed and also tasted so yummy! My gf kid was thankful for the gf Cheerios

Staff was very nice and tried really hard, but this hotel is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. A sign on the elevator said, "dont overload" and I guess they meant it because sure enough it broke down. Some other guests said they got stuck on the 3rd floor. The carpet in the elevator was extremely worn and dirty. There was mold and peeling paper in the bathroom, and the power and internet went down for awhile. It was the standard Marriott bed, but otherwise, this place was terrible.
