Royal Inn of Abilene

I've been staying here since March and the owners are trying hard to make this establishment a better place. Most of the rooms have been upgraded and are really nice. The housekeepers are doing their best to keep up with everything but it's easy to tell they are overwhelmed. For the price, it's a good place to stay. The front desk ladies are all pretty nice and helpful. Major drawback was that it's off the beaten path a bit. Nothing is really close as far as shopping or food Rooms: Most of the rooms have been upgraded and are really nice. There is plenty of parking in fron of your room as well Walkability: There isn't much close enough to walk to and the neighborhood looks kinda sketchy after dark

Over all the place has improved a lot from what it was a long time ago they have updated the rooms and made it a little better for a older model get what u pay for mostly and price wasn't bad

Had to give a star to write my review it didn't deserve a star. This place needs to be condemned. The place was a mess sheets where nasty bugs on window seals, light fixtures falling off walls, the room stank, the floors was not cleaned. Don't book here the staff was very unfriendly. Needless to say, we did not stay.

Place was a mess. Fridge was very unclean. Holes in walls. Bathtub was disgusting. Some electricity did not work and some light bulbs were out. Beds were uncomfortable and sheets were disgusting. No trashcans. No coffee pot. Floors had some nasty residue on the so had to where shoes. Fire alarm was not present and wires hanging out of ceiling where it should go. 10/10 would not recommend!
