Had an awful experience on the 4th of July at the Hill country Galleria in Lakeway. The lines were VERY LONG for the zipline & one of the operators at the top just disappeared at one point. So there was one operator at top, running 2 lines. With that mistake on 2 ring services part, came a VERY bad accident to my 7 year old son. The operator sent him down the zipline with the white rope dangling between his legs, the momentum combined with speed of zipline, left this rope 2nd degree burning him on the backside of both legs. he got off & immediately began to complain of burning, i looked & saw welping & redness forming. I told the operator at the bottom, "y'all need to correct something, my son just got rope burns on your ride!" the operator looked at me & said, "uh...okay" and immediately proceeded letting kids ride the ride. I left reviews on the companies website the next day (they mysteriously were never approved for the public to see) When I called the owner the next day (you heard that right, he did not call me) He spoke out of both sides of his mouth. In one sentence said, "I only care about your sons safety" although he not once asked how he was doing, to what degree was his burns, were there signs of infection, was there anything he could do? then he gave me a hard time about reviewing the company negatively online & how "his phone was blowing up because of it!" but then said, "I mean I dont care about PR" but 1 bad review online can really hurt a company. Again, speaking out of both sides of his mouth. I never heard from him again! No offer to pay for the dr visit, reimburse for tickets, pay for all the wound care stuff I bought from CVS, or an apology for what happened. NOTHING!! the owner sorely mishandled a very sad situation for my son.
