We reached out to Total Pro based on a referral from our friend. The initial experience was great until we went to sign the contract and realized they were going to charge us for the entire job up front. Typically, you would only pay 50% up front and the other 50% when the job is completed. We discussed this with the owner and the sales rep who essentially told us that was their policy and through the process we came to understand the company is not bonded either. The owner had a conversation with my husband essentially stating that they could be trusted not to run off with our money. We replied that we were not comfortable just 'trusting' a company with thousands of dollars. They told us they would get bonded through insurance and sent us screenshots with the conversation they had with their insurance agent. The next day the owner changed his mind (I think the insurance policy was too expensive) and decided not to get bonded. We decided not to move forward with their company. During the initial sales process at the showroom, the rep told me I could take a carpet sample home to show my husband. I told him I didn't want to because I wouldn't know what to do with it afterward and he said he would come pick it up from me. After we decided not to move forward, I asked the rep to come and get the carpet samples and he said he was very busy and I should drop them off at the showroom. I told him that's exactly what I was worried about and asked him to come get them from the house. It took a few days before he finally got them but the whole situation was just not pleasant. We ended up going with another local business that was a little less expensive, much easier to work with, provided a better quality carpet and only charged us 50% up front.

Total Pro is AMAZING. The entire experience couldn't have been better. It started with Chad working with our insurance company for weeks to ensure we were getting the correct product and services specified; he truly went above and beyond. Total Pro's installation crew, lead by Noe, were polite, considerate, and got everything done ahead of the stated schedule with amazing quality and attention to detail. If this wasn't enough, Chad even reduced our total invoice. My wife and I were truly blown away. I recommend Chad and his team to everyone. We will be using them on our next home FOR SURE! Thank you Total Pro!!

We replaced all of our floors in our home with Total Pro Flooring. No more carpet (yes), we did white oak engineered wood in all of the home except tile in the bathrooms and the laundry room. We also replaced all of the tile in our bathroom showers and re-configured our primary shower and one other bathroom tub/shower. The owner of the company, Chad Tafs, and his designer, Caitlin Sullivan, visited with us in our home at the consultation. Caitlin took photos of our home and when we arrived at their state of the art showroom in Trails of 620, Caitlin had flooring samples prepared for us, which made the decision process much easier. Caitlin also helped us with the re-design on two of the bathrooms. Having a designer on staff streamlines the process and all of the choices can be overwhelming (imo). The finished results are stunning! We absolutely love how everything turned out. The workers were outstanding - on time, very nice, cleaned up every day, hard working and they did amazing work. I highly recommend Total Pro Flooring.

Business Response on Google Apr 7th, 2024
Good morning Emily,Thank you for the review. We see this quite differently but understand that people sometimes don't want to do business with us.We have our policies in place for a reason. Your husband wanted us to change our policies to suit him. At first we were going to take care of it but later decided that we should not have to change our business practices for anyone. They work very well for us.Home Depot, Lowe's and other companies require 100% up front as well. We do that on all carpet jobs because the labor is a small portion of the work and the jobs are usually completed in a day.Appreciate the effort to damage our company knowing that your husband is a small business owner as well.Just like you get to choose who you want or don't want to do business with, we have the same right. Based on my conversation with your husband, we felt it was best for us not to do business with you.Our company has been in business for almost 10 years. We value our clients but still have to run the business the best way we feel for us.Sincerely Chad TafsOwner
