Mack did an incredible job of quickly diagnosing what the problem was - a sewer pipe problem. I feel 100% confident in their ability for all plumbing needs.

I called Reliant to find and fix a water leak. The dispatcher mentioned that it would cost $89 to find the leak, which I asked multiple times as this seemed too low of a price. I also asked if the technician would have all the equipment to find the leak, such as sonar, and they assured me that all technicians will have all the necessary equipment. When the technician and general manager came out, they said that the $89 was to knock on the door and that it would cost around $500 to find the leak, which we proceeded. After they manually shut off internal valves and did a simple hydrostatic pressure test on an outside faucet, they determined that the leak was either in the main line to the house or under the slab. I asked if they had leak detection equipment to pinpoint the leak and they mentioned that it is too expensive for them to carry it to most sites and that most issues are simply an outside faucet leaking. They suggested the next steps were to find the main water connection at the house and add a shut off valve for around $1750, which after that they would determine if the leak was in the main line or under the slab. If it was in the slab, they mentioned that they would need to cut several holes to pinpoint the leak and that it could eventually cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix. Due to not pinpointing the leak, they were kind enough to reduce the $500 leak investigation fee. I called American Leak Detection, and they came out with the proper equipment. They determined that the leak was in the sprinkler system and showed me the solenoid that was the culprit and fixed it on the spot with the total cost of around $575 and they wrote up a report of the issue. The leak was not in the main line to the house or in the slab as reported by Reliant.
