I do like my house. But good luck if you have warranty issues. They use every excuse to get out of actually doing the work.

I worked with Jennifer who works in the Pecan Square, Waterbrook and Harvest communities and my experience and disappointment may be more directed towards the company as Jennifer is just an extension of the company. We first visited the Mustang Lakes Community and dealt with an amazing rep there. While we were out of the Country in July of 2023, on a Saturday, the rep said there was this one house available that we were looking for and that he has a few people inquiring about it and if we can send the earnest money and sign the contract online, it can be reserved. Our concern was that we didn't want to put money down before seeing a home. He eased our concern saying that corporate is closed on the weekend and that when we come back on Sun, we can see the home and if we don't like it, we can just cancel the contract. We felt at ease & went with his recommendation. Note - we didn't like the home and did get a refund of our earnest money. It did take 4 weeks and it seemed like Coventry did us a huge favor by giving our money back based on their recommendation. While viewing homes, one of their plans stuck out to me, Crockett. We found out that this is offered in the Argyle/Northlake area and immediately went to see it. We put an offer and got what seemed like good option money (almost 92k) in Pecan Square. We were told that the orientation can be right (previously left) and this was confirmed by our rep. We signed contracts, signed amendment for the right orientation, sent our earnest money etc. They didn't have an option to cancel in the contract and it was conveniently excluded. After about 24 hours we decided this may not be best for us since it is a rural area and we tried to cancel and of course didn't have the option. Additionally our rep kept alluding to how Coventry already did us a favor by giving our money back the last time without knowing the back story of this. She mentioned this a couple of times which really frustrated us because we only went with the recommendation of a Coventry rep and what they suggested would be best to do. About 10 days later, our rep tells us that they cannot do right orientation and can only do left orientation. Due to personal beliefs this was important to us to have the right orientation and it seems like a breach of contract so we asked to cancel. Of course, they didn't give us the option to do that. They wanted us to move to another lot in the same community and that was offered to us on a Friday but not held for us. We tell them on Monday, we would like to move to that lot and that was gone. Great! So we ask for to cancel again and I am sure you can guess the outcome of how that went. We asked to move to a more suburban community that would make sense for us but then our rep wouldn't get the commission so that was also denied. We asked to speak to a manager several times during our interactions with our rep. It has been over 2 months and I still haven't heard from a manager or leader to share my concerns about my experience. The manager is only reachable by my rep and seems to be unavailable to customer. At design center appts, we realized the 92k doesn't get you much. When you buy the home, they will say 30k is plenty for options but if you want anything decent, you will need to spend at least 100k+ including structural options. Their baseline options are almost laughable for a "luxury" builder and even cheap apartments have better options than what is included. We had an option of an outdoor patio and kitchen which are two separate options but combined for a cost savings of $1000. We asked to remove the kitchen and just keep the patio which is separate at $9995. We were told we can either remove it all together or separate it. We can amend to remove but not amend to separate even though they are different options. In short will never do anything for their customer. A home is usually the biggest purchase someone makes in their life and to tell you this has been frustrating for us would be a gross understatement. I am limited in space and hope this review helps.
