Berkeley is definitely one of the best options in college station, but dont expect functioning treadmills because they have been broken for the last two years, and the WiFi is slow as molasses. I have a portable WiFi unit because without it pages will need at least 2 minutes to load.

If you're a student looking for a decent place to live, I would advise you to steer clear of this apartment complex. Here are some reasons why: Firstly, every time it rains, even lightly, the wifi goes out despite the management claiming they upgraded the plan. As a student, this is a major inconvenience because it's difficult to study or turn in assignments on time. It's also frustrating that you pay for something that doesn't work as advertised. As a stem major, this is particularly frustrating since I require a reliable internet connection for most of my coursework. Secondly, the management is not responsive to maintenance requests, although Chris the maintenance man does a great job with helping us, the staff a whole is terrible. We went three months without air conditioning during the hot summer months, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we were never compensated for the inconvenience. Meanwhile, some friends who live in other complexes got their rent paid for when their air conditioning went out for only a week. Thirdly, the wifi frequently goes out for days, which is very disruptive for studying and working from home. It's hard to focus when you have to constantly worry about whether or not the internet will be working. This has forced me to waste my time and gas going back to campus just to turn something in on time. Ironically, I'm writing this review at another establishment because the wifi, once again, is out. Fourthly, since the new management took over, the quality of the complex has gone downhill. It seems like they're cutting corners and not prioritizing the needs of the tenants. Fifthly, despite the decrease in quality of the complex, the rent has gone up. It feels like they're taking advantage of the increasing enrollment at A&M, assuming that someone will always need to live here. Lastly, I don't think the staff values their tenants. It's clear that they don't prioritize tenant satisfaction, and they seem to take our business for granted. If you have other options, I would strongly suggest choosing a different apartment complex. EDIT: Just to add to this review, management has sold the lot where visitors used to park. This was a big selling point whenever I first was leasing here. The lot had 30 spots. I called the front desk to ask about the wifi being out again (not surprising) and commented on the large number of visitor spots we lost. They responded with "Well we only lost 7 total spots" which is completely false after a simple examination using Google Earth imagery contradicts this, revealing a loss of 21 spots. Inconvenient if you want guests over at any time, as it is often occupied by residents who do not pay for parking, Additionally, there have been disconcerting incidents related to security. A friend recently had their bike stolen from a neighboring property (Apple Air Tag located in Southgate). When law enforcement sought surveillance footage for investigation, the management disclosed that the cameras were NON-FUNCTIONAL This revelation raises significant concerns about the overall security and monitoring capabilities within the community. It is worth noting that a considerable number of 5-star reviews on this platform may be influenced by a reward-based system. Some of the individuals who leave 5-star reviews stand a chance to win prizes, such as discounted rent for a month. As a conscientious resident, I believe transparency is paramount in evaluating the genuine experiences of those living within the community. The forthcoming opening of a tea shop adjacent to Berkeley adds a layer of uncertainty to the parking situation. Considering these factors and my firsthand experience of diminishing standards, I believe transparency is crucial for potential tenants, and I hope these insights assist those considering residency at Berkeley House. Edit: You can see from the updated photos I've added, the additional obstacles there are when trying to access the parking garage at Berkeley House. This has added 15 minutes to my arrival daily.

Overall, a beautiful apartment with modern fixtures that tops a normal student apartment. Appliances are new, the staff and maintenance are so sweet and amazing, and make you feel like theyre more like friends than staff. Love Berkeley house and will be renewing here!

I LOVE Berkeley house!! From the amazing management to the beautiful apartments, I have not had a single problem here! The apartments are extremely modern and cute. The office is super sweet and multiple events a year with free food/giveaways. If there are any problems, management answers questions and fixes it by a couple of days. I have lived here for a year and couldnt recommend a better place.
