Brookdale Trinity Towers Skilled Nursing

My parents both lived there. We moved them from their home in San Antonio to Brookdale after a thorough search. What a difference this facility and the personnel made in their lives. They loved it there. The facility is nice but the people make it great. Caring, thoughtful people that really care and build great relationships with the residents. We are very happy we found Brookdale Assisted Living.

My 95 year old Dad resides here. He has lived there for 3 years and likes it alot. The staff are nice and pretty responsive. good meals, transportation for medical appointments. I would highly recommend this place.

BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY!! Our loved one was admitted here for therapy and wound care. He did not get wound care for three days straight. He was given double the medication he should have been. He passed out in front of my eyes and I held him up and screamed for help. A nurse came into the room and told him to stick out his tongue. She said he is not having a stroke and walked out. We had to demand someone evaluate him and found his heart rate in the 30s and he had a low blood pressure. They finally sent him to the emergency room for care. When he returned to the facility he got the same medication that sent him to the hospital. Then the next day they tried to give it to him again. Wound care was not done as the doctor had ordered. This caused further infection into his bone that needed further amputation. We tried to make a complaint to HHSC thinking that some accountability would be had but we now know that nothing will be done. They fired one nurse and now say the rest of what was done to "correct" the issues is INTERNAL. No one will ever know all the issues that were had and the system seems stacked against a patient. We wanted to warn others. We saw so many there without families to speak up for them. I can only imagine what they would have done if I had not been there.
