Grace Church on the Island

We are just in the area for a month, and looked for a good "Bible teaching church" on our phone's GPS. "Grace on the Island" came up, so we checked out their statements of beliefs on their website. They are laser-focused on the Bible, knowing and following God's Word. So we attended this church Sunday. The service started 10 minutes late, because the pastor and others "got lost in prayer." That was great to hear. Then Pastor Daniel did a great job teaching the Bible, verse by verse. He expounded on the text, dug into the passage, and the other gospel accounts, and added the perspectives of history, geography, doctrine, and context. He explained how the text fit within the whole of Scripture and what we should do with these words from God. At the end of the service, my husband said we would be back the next Sunday.
