Jj delacerda veteran service officer downtown was helping me with a record correction dd214 correction. They "only have $150 for mail budget to service 25,000 veteran annually" so not everything is sent via certified mail. I doubt they help 25,000 veteran annually!My records request was lost in mail not once but twice. When i asked for correct help i was told by vso to do my own military record correction.i lost about a year half during that whole mess only to be told to do it myself. They got the vso downtown so busy with ancillary side jobs like the veteran cemetery, setting up events. So i guess if u need something done by the vso downtown you need to just do it yourself. Do your own stuff or go to a different vso.

Office is staffed with a team that truly cares on serving the veteran community. From the service Officer to his staff you feel they care about taking care of you. Given timely and correct information on not just veteran benefits but in general information needed to other resources. I have no issues referring veterans and their families to this office knowing the team lead by Mr. De la Cerda will get them the help or if they cannot help them there know where to find the assistance needed.

JJ & his team have been the best outreach not only for my husband but to many veterans & spouses. As a vet spouse JJ has never shied away from lending a ear and steering in the right direction. If theres any veteran function you are guaranteed to see him there. Thank you from our family for all you do for all your brothers & sisters. May God continue to work thru you to reach & help all those in need.
