The Salon and Spa at Southern Careers Institute - Corpus Christi

This salons INSTRUCTOR claimed i had lice when in fact didnt. it was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I had to waste money to get my hair checked for lice by professionals just for them to inform me my hair is lice free. I called that same instructor back after to see if i can still be seen and she completely dismissed me and was very rude. I wasted so much time that i dont have just for them to not give me any proper service. Dont ever go here!!

My niece is studying/training there. The family is helping out by going over so she can get her practice. She cut my hair & did a great job. Her name is Kaylee Gomez. The staff there were very courteous & friendly.

My friend and i went here because my friends really recommended it, however the experience was really poor and frankly unprofessional. We were both seated and looked by the instructor, who teaches these students. However her mastery of the art is questionable, as she claimed my friend had lice eggs and therefore couldnt treat her. Thats fine, we go get checked at, and it turns out we dont have lice at all! I understand the safety and health of the salon comes first, however as she is an instructor I worry for what the students are being taught, as she was plain wrong and therefore had to turn us away. Later on, after we were cleared for lice from professionals, we were hoping to still at least be looked at today for walk in hours, but she completely turned us away! Other than that, the experience was pleasant, the students were nice, but i worry for the education they are receiving with such an under qualified and unprofessional instructor.
