VCA Oso Creek Animal Hospital and Emergency Center

Very compassionate staff. Sent a card after my cat passed away after bringing her here. I never took my cat here before because of the cost, and we were fortunate that she was in excellent health for 15 years (with yearly check-ups)....but when she decided that it was her time to go, we rushed her here at 4 am one terrible night. The staff sent a beautiful condolence card, which was incredibly touching, considering that her regular vet office never even acknowledged me again after a phone call and email about her death, and after doing so many tests that never yielded many results, charged so much $$, and claimed they never could say exactly what was wrong. I won't bother taking my pets back there anymore (let's just say it's a vet clinic that used to be off Doddridge, now at a new building off Gollihar) they charged a lot and always said that never knew what was wrong. VCA referred us to Fond Memories for services. If you're in South Texas, call them and ask for Jane Rann. She went above and beyond to help us. The VCA vet gave us the private room and plenty of time to say goodbye to our beautiful baby after she passed. They even gave us fur and whisker cuttings in a little bag after we requested. My mom has taken her cat here for an emergency and while she had to wait quite a bit, he got the treatment he needed and got better. Good people to trust in an emergency.

worst vet i have ever been to! the front office staff was amazing, absolutely love them, but the vet? cant even refer to him by name because i was not properly introduced by him, he had his front desk lady apologize to us for offending us by how poorly he asked us, " do you guys have like, any money? at all?" instead of doing it himself. not clear or thorough at all on any of the treatment or diagnosis of my babes nor did he even try. THOROUGHLY the worst 24hr vet in the 361. go elsewhere!! save ur money!! $400 for cpr because of all the equipment used absolutely ridiculous prices.

My poor baby was in experiencing a bad heart conduction, breathing hard due to fluids in lungs, and at risk of dying. They took her right in and provided emergency care over a couple days. Yes it was costly, but I cant put a price on the life of my brindle beauty. Thank you OSO for the commitment to my dogs health. And thank you for the continued aftercare support you and staff still offer us.

Do not bring your pet here! It's awful this is the only emergency vet in our area. Brought my dog in to get stitches on her leg, charged my $1000 and 24 hours later my dog was dead. Have called multiple times to speak to someone about the negligence and have not heard back from anyone. I will be filing a claim against them to the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. They do not care about your animals they only care about the money they charge you. * The receptionists were very kind but thats the only positive about the place.
