Clean, friendly staff, lots of space and newer equipment and weights. Has a good vibe and nice when nothing is broken or worn out. I was visiting Dallas for a week and you can get a free four-day pass online which they honored no problem. Change rooms are very nice with towels, blow dryers, sauna, soap in the showers, etc. I did a bit of research and it's definitely the nicest one in the area.

My wife and I visited Dallas for spring break and she is an Ultimate Dallas Cowboys Fan. It was only right for us to visit the Dallas Cowboys Fit Athletic facility (Downtown Dallas) and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in at 7a, Elyssia assisted us with the utmost charisma and customer service. She was super friendly and accommodating. We didnt know there was an out of state fee to use the facility but with Elyssias morning sunshine, it wasnt hard to say no. So we paid the $20 a piece with a smile. Needless to say, we had a 24hr pass and came back the next morning for 1 last workout. My wife was able to get some great pics/videos of the facility and enjoy a nice workout. Equipment was good, facility well lite, people all nice - all around good vibe.

Joined this gym about a year ago through Active & Fit Direct (available through my works benefits) and overall my experience was positive, but Im not sure Id recommend the downtown location now. The equipment is great and the place stays very clean the gym itself I liked and still like a lot. And when I originally joined, although I had some minor issues signing up through Active & Fit Direct, the original staff were super friendly/understanding/helpful. All the personal trainers Ive talked to also seem very nice, even now. At some point recently though (in the past 2-3 months or so?) it looks like a bunch of new staff have been hired/a lot of the old staff left. One of the newer employees has given me a pissy attitude multiple times when I stay close to closing time on Sundays (3:00 pm, super early) even though thats the only time I can come on the weekends. The hours in general are pretty bad compared to other gyms, and beginning in March members are basically being forced to either find parking on the street or pay an extra $25/month on top of monthly membership fees to park in the Interurban garage around the corner, which was originally free for members. I only pay $36/month (a discounted rate), but an extra $25/month just to park is not worth it at all imo. So unless you live within walking/biking distance, it would be more worth it to go to the East Dallas or Plano location, or just a different gym if you arent close to those locations.

Like many of the recent reviews said, while the gym is nice, the staff is kinda so so - sometimes friendly, sometimes not. One day when the gym was about to close with over 15 minutes left, I watched a staff member stand next to someone training, pounding his fist in his hand, to get the guy to stop training. The guy was clearly upset and just grabbed his stuff and walked out the gym. Also like nearly every review has mentioned, the music is obnoxiously loud. Its impossible to bring your own headphones and not put it at full volume. I used to listen to audiobooks and podcasts while training but its nearly impossible (even with noise cancellation). Staff members seem annoyed when asked to lower the music just a bit. The ONLY reason I go to this gym is because its in walking distance, but I plan to go to the East Dallas location a bit more. Lots of members expressed a better experience even if its a mile away. Its a shame tho - the downtown location has so much promise! The changes the members are requesting in the reviews seem simple enough, but again, it all goes back to the staff.
