        Worst lawyer ever! Very unprofessional once he takes your money he will not call you. His secretary is also unprofessional. He messed up my case and now wont give me my money back so I can hire someone else. Dont recommend this lawyer to anyone.

        We hired Michael Piri to represent my brother. As he was recommended by a good friend .He took $8,000 from us and didn't do anything. He kept passing our case around to other attorneys who didn't know what they were doing. He filed an asylum application which had mistakes, didn't submit evidence to immigration court and fired us less than a week before trial. DO NOT TRUST THIS ATTORNEY. He makes excuses and will mess up your case. Now he won't answer our calls and has held our money hostage which we desperately need to pay another attorney who is now representing My brother. We have filed a bar complaint against him because he doesn't answer calls, gives you case updates and now he won't refund us what we paid him. I would not recommend Michael Piri to anyone!

      Dounia, although we have no experience dealing directly with you, we will gladly address your concerns - even though we have already done so numerous times in private with your family members.You say we "didn't do anything". We prepared and presented your brother's asylum case to the court. We appeared at five hearings to defend your brother and to secure his release. Unfortunately, as explained to your family numerous times, he does not qualify for release. The judge decided this twice and ICE also reached the same conclusion. We also sat in and defended him in an investigation by authorities (even though this was not part of our agreement). There is not enough room here to describe all that we have done, but suffice it to say, we did a tremendous amount of work on your brother's case.You say we "don't answer calls". We have logged over 100 received calls from your family. We have also logged over 40 returned phone calls to your family members. The cumulative amount of logged call time is almost 7 hours. Stating that we "don't answer calls" is also false - just like the above mentioned accusations that "we didn't do anything".You also say our attorneys "didn't know what they were doing". Our attorneys know exactly what they're doing, and they even went above and beyond to attempt to secure your brother's release. We applied for his bond on three occasions with two different judges and his ICE officer. The simple fact is that, by law, he did not qualify for release. As much as we tried to convince the court otherwise, the law is the law, and there is nothing we can do about that.We would have liked to see a more favorable outcome for your brother, but under the circumstances, it was not possible.
