I have a sole-member S Corporation and provide software development consulting services with revenue of between $400,000 and $500,000 annually and used CPK for four years as my tax preparation company. Jennifer was my advisor. She did great work, and my filings were accurate, complete, and timely. The reason for the 1 star review is because after 4 years of working with TBK I received a canned email stating that they were terminating their relationship with me. The stated reason was because of the ongoing labor shortage. The canned message said they would work with whomever I choose to take over my tax preparation duties and they wished me the best of luck. I received no communications from my tax advisor, Jennifer, nor anybody from the TBK staff informing me of this impending termination. No extra information was provided to me when I really dug in to any other reasons that may have caused this decision. The only response I received was "due to the labor shortage we have made the difficult decision to let some clients go". To me, especially after four years of working individually with Jennifer, I expected the courtesy of a personal call to explain what was going on. The canned letter was worded like an employment application rejection letter. Complete with "we wish you all the best in your future endeavors". I do not find this acceptable, nor do I find this level of service very personal.

I received a recommendation to speak with John Blackmon about my single member LLC. I left a message with the company's secretary and John himself called me a business day later. We had a wonderful chat and he was very helpful and open about my questions and suggestions on how to move forward. I have confidence in and trust TBK CPA, PLLC.
