Stopped by here prior to an opera performance for a quick dinner. Ordered the simple smash burger and fries. Yummy brioche bun, and the patty and special sauce was good too. I probably should have looked at the menu a bit closer as I didnt realize it was just a bun, a patty, some pickles, and some sauce for $12, but for being one of the simplest burgers Ive ever had it was surprisingly tasty. Fries were fine and Im happy the burger came with fries. 4 stars since it felt like ballpark pricing, but I think thats par for the course at this venue. Most other food stalls were minimum $15 per person. I didnt take advantage of table delivery but supposedly they had it. Enjoyed listening to some live jazz music while I ate.

This past Sunday February 19th, 2023 at 4:30pm, my wife ordered a burger from, Mission Burger. On her second bite as the cheese extended she automatically felt something and after removing the food out her mouth she noticed a hair infused with the cheese. She then proceeded to take the burger back to the cashier/food maker at Mission Burger. My wife then starts with, Hey I found a hair infused with the cheese. The Veteran quickly replies with, Okay? What do you want me to do about it? Make you another one?. At this point my wife is confused on the Veterans reply and confusingly and slowly says, Yes. He then frustratingly replies with, Well why didnt you say that from the beginning?. Thats when I stepped in and told him that he has no right to disrespect my wife like that. He then throws and waves his hand off at my face and walks towards the grill to re start the burger. Upon finishing the new burger, he gives it to me and stares at me with a cunning smile. Once my wife re opened the wrapped burger the buns are beyond burnt on both sides. Which my wife does not eat as we do not know if he secretly did anything else. As a veteran myself I was ashamed that someone who would wear an US Army Veteran hat, would uphold himself in such a way and treat people in the way he did. I hope this is talked with him or his supervisors to let him know that he is chasing customers away with his attitude and customer service. I will obviously not be coming back to this place for food. Overall the Lyric Market was beautiful and very well maintained, would have been perfect if it werent for this Veteran, and his terrible way to act.
