Houston Automatic Transmission Service

Absolutely appalled by the "warranty work" that borders on criminal negligence! I brought my truck in initially for a transfer case rebuild as fluid with metal shavings could be seen leaking from the case. They recommended a different drive shaft for my situation. 1,100 miles into my $3,500 rebuild the drive shaft blows off violently on the Beltway 8, shaking a fog light loose, and the drive shaft dented my muffler a couple times before letting itself free into the traffic behind me. The truck was towed back as it was within the 2,000 mile warranty period and I had my receipt. I mentioned the damage, was given a $50 check even though the damage was much more but as they were not fighting me on the warranty work, I bit my tongue. The warranty work was supposedly performed a couple weeks later and I picked up my vehicle and hit the road. Since losing a drive shaft on the freeway I have been a much more careful driver, and have not driven over 70-75mph or accelerating past 1/2 throttle. Now 8,000 miles later I began to get a vibration at 65-70mph so I decided to have my truck inspected at some other shops to try and get an answer and solution to my problem. Turns out when the drive shaft damage occurred, unbeknownst to me the transfer case housing was cracked into a couple pieces and their solution was JB WELD! Adhesive residue could be found around the fractured pieces. At best this would have left me stranded, at worse having heavy metal drive line components flying into the motorists behind me could injure or kill someone. I'm in complete shock this type of work was even attempted. The recklessness displayed by this repair attempt is unbelievable. While I typically refrain from harshly criticizing small businesses, the gravity of the situation demands attention. People need to be aware of the substandard practices employed by this establishment as its even beyond poor service, its a public safety hazard.

2018 Ford Expedition had been acting erratic. A little grinding and also slipping into neutral unexpectedly. Of course, it was out of warranty, so I did my research before deciding what to do. Steve and his crew did an amazing job rebuilding the transmission and with a few upgrades it literally is better than new! Just went back for my 10 day leak check, and all is great. Highly recommend for any transmission service.

Came here transmission diagnostic due to transmission not shifting and Steve suggested rebuilding it and man night and day difference came in with a 4L60. And left with performance 4L65 to match my 6.0L engine let just say wow recommended for all transmission work friends and family. Definitely read reviews before I came and now Im leaving them with great review.
