UPDATED: Breakfast upon another visit was not the best--runny eggs, water oatmeal, watered down OJ and they added ice directly to the OJ (which they were very limited on refilling too so ice melted and eventually was just water). (SCRATCH THIS: Excellent breakfast, one of the best ever had at a Homewood Suites.) Comfy beds, new and well maintained room. 1 bedroom suite was good. UPDATE: now two years later is starting to show age. Small maintenance items like constantly running toilet, light fixture on ceiling fan missing the cover, etc. Horrible burning smell on floors 2, 3 & 4 in the halls (enough to question if a real fire). HAPPENED AGAIN: Feather free request was not honored (feather pillows in the room upon arrival), LEGACY: could not get on the WiFi on the fourth floor and the hall was freezing cold (obviously not climate controlled or very poorly). Did have a few ants in the kitchen too (very small black ants). Bathroom has done very nice with special housekeeping touches! They made it above and beyond--showed their experience and care in detail. The shower curtain was pulled apart uniquely to make a nice shell/swoop shape and toilet paper folded on end with unique stamp to hold it together in shape (had seen the triangle fold prior but never the stamp trick). These details were excellent work and hats off to thier housekeeper. Bathroom towel hook on the wall was loose. Staff was very nice and hospitable. Would stay again if the price was right (sometimes much higher in rates), but not top of the lost anymore. The positives balance the negative to an overall 4-star. Nearby activities: Walking distance to Katy Miles Mall and AMC 30 Theater. Safety: By a major mall, which brings extra theft, etc. Walkability: Walking distance to Katy Miles Mall and AMC 30.
