Wheeler Apartments

We lived in one of these apartments for 2-3 weeks in 2017 before giving our 30 day move out notice. Yes we had signed a lease, however, nowhere on that lease did it say that I had to live with cockroaches! The apartment was sprayed twice and it still didn't get better. Where I grew up, that's not normal. We had explained that to the manager at the time and she was understanding and informed us that she had someone to move in right away. We paid for the next 30 days but did not stay that long. 3 years later I apply for housing and I am denied due to owing Wheeler Apartments over $600.00. I keep disputing this with no luck.

How do you find out if there is any availability if no one is ever there to answer calls or able to reach anyone

I moved here last May so far it's been nice for an older apartment complex. Management are friendly and respond quickly. I have no complaints.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. the paperwork was mixed up, my name was put on the Lease when it shouldn't have been there. I have been calling for months trying to get a copy of the lease or talk to someone about it, still to today, I've gotten nothing. When I moved in the apartment HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED FROM THE PREVIOUS RESIDENT WHO WAS EVICTED. I cleaned the whole place on my own (which was very discusting) and was not given a discount or any money back. no a/c for the first 2 months (moved in during the summer) my apartment was also broken in to a few months ago. I lost everything. Still haven't heard a word from the apartments. I want to get out, but no one is answering or getting back to me. There is also no manager on the premises as far as I know. Pictures are after I cleaned, the floor in the first one which was later waxed, after months of telling them, but don't get me started on that situation. I had to finish the wax on my own. Oh and their location here on Google maps is wrong. They're off royal blvd across from brookshires.
