If it wasn't a free course it would have less stars. Was fun to play, not busy when we were there, no public water, only one set of porta potties. Pretty flat and not easy to follow all the time, same scenery everywhere.

Had a great time playing with my 80 years old mom, the course was very open and easy to walk it through, we enjoyed the complimentary water bottles in the 4th. hole, thank you!!

This is an 18 hole course, with many very long fairways. The topography is a bit unusual, with some water, trees, brush, and long grass. We found the long grass sharp, and found it scratched up our bare legs. The course moves to the inside area after fairway #3. Overall it it reasonably easy to follow. There are generally two tee pads per fairway. Many of the fairways bend right, favoring lefties. Typical lengths over 500. It is a fairly fun, very challenging course.

This course is unlike any one I have ever played before. It has a uniquely South Texas style beauty with some really wonderful regional vegetation and wildlife. I was fascinated by the ants and the trails they left through the grass to their homes. Of course, the bigger question is playability. Again, this course is unlike any I've ever played before. Quite a few holes were exceptionally long with the basket out of view of the start of the hole. I think hole 18 may be among the longest I have ever played. The core of the course got really technical on a few holes, but technical in a different way than courses I have played in other areas. In some places there were low trees or shrubs that had to be played over, and they were almost like a water hazard. Hole nine was particularly frustrating to me because I couldn't see the basket from the tee box and what I thought was a pretty decent drive ended up in some vegetation alongside the dried up pond. It took me a while to figure out where my disc landed. Even on holes with an open fairway, I found myself getting increasingly frustrated because occasionally my disk would land within feet of the fairly narrow fairway and me so hidden that I had to search for quite a while to find it. I squandered a lot of my play time just hunting discs. At the middle of this course I got really frustrated and almost threw in the towel because of the frequency with which I was misplacing discs, but there were a lot of things about this course that I appreciated and to even loved. If you don't have solid drives or a lot of patience, this isn't the one for you. But I'm still glad I gave it a try. I was only able to finish a little over half the course this time, so I would consider trying it again if I find myself back in the area. But maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. If you don't have a friend who can guide you through the course, be sure to download the uDisc app because it gets a little frustrating trying to find the next hole. Overall, it's a unique and well-maintained course that is worth at least one visit for people who love disc golf enough to be angered by it.
