RIS Insulation Supply

We hired this company since at first they seemed to be reputable. Found them through Google. We paid them up front $2800 and because we had to postpone from our end, when we were ready they had taken another job which is understandable. Then when we called to ask when they would start, they explained that the product was back ordered. They said they would start this wk, today and that by Saturday they would let us know. There was no call, today texted the owner and no reply. Now I find myself having to post these reviews and will have to file a police report, but because we handed them a check, this will have to be taken through a small court. It is very unfortunate that the lack of communication has led to this. All we want now is our refund so we can find a company that can do the work. The work was to vacuum the attic and to put batt insulation.Update: Mcallen police department has a warrant for the owner of this company. He claimed that he would pay back what he took but never reached out to the officer. DO NOT HIRE MR. VARGAS, HE IS A RAT.
