Steer clear of this business! Overpriced and if you consider a contractor showing up at 11am every day then you are certainly asking for shoddy results. They spent more time taking to the plumber than working. Left loose floor boards and gaps that can’t even be filled. Would never hire again.

We have used Doug Taylor to refinish two homes now. Both homes had the original 1950’s wood floors. His work is that of a true craftsman. In both homes, the refinished floors are what everyone marvels over. He is a very nice man, he treats you right, and his work is fantastic.

First I would like to say thanks to Mr. Taylor for outstanding work on our floors. Our project started about a year ago with me and my wife doing it but with our busy schedule we weren't able to complete it and that's when we found Taylor floors on Google we contacted Mr. Taylor he came and checked it out and gave us an estimate we had our living room one bedroom and two small hallways done they had to repair a spot in the hallway where someone had covered an old crawlspace with plywood now you can't even tell that it was there the house was built in 1960 and still has the original white oak floors in it thanks to Mr. Taylor they look and feel good we have had nothing but good compliments from our friends and family. We have recommend him to our friends and neighbors and will recommend to all. Thanks again to Mr. Taylor for a outstanding job!

I just had Doug out to give an estimate on a full renovation flip I’m working on. If you’re wondering why I contacted Doug, I’m personal friends with the last customer to leave a review (Hi Jenn!). When I called Doug, he was gruff when he answered the phone. He said he thought I was a telemarketer. He warmed up when I explained I wanted a quote. When he arrived at my job site, I was there cleaning up. He said he was surprised to see me there. My guys have Mondays off and I was doing some basic housekeeping before my crew is back on site tomorrow. I enjoy being hands on and not just stuck behind a computer. During the walk around he questioned my neighbor on how much I pay him to lend a hand, asked me what I do for a living, as well as what my fiancé does for a living, and then refused to even give me a quote. When I asked if $2500 was doable for the 800-900 sqft I needed refinished, he said I couldn’t afford him and left. His insinuation that I don’t pay my bills was horrific. I have been contracting for 2 years now and have never once been so insulted and horrified by a sub! I would encourage friends and strangers alike to steer clear of this business. For shame.

We loved working with Doug and his team. After getting a bid when we first moved in and and then deciding to wait on the floors, we started recommending Doug to everyone that asked. That initial experience was enough to earn our recommendation. He did an amazing job refinishing the floors at my parents' house and for several friends, too. And, now that we finally decided to hire him ourselves to repair, replace, and refinish the floors in our living room, dining room, and kitchen I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. They were professional, fast, and the floors are absolutely stunning! The floors had areas that had 50-year-old termite damage, water damage from previous owners, and even plywood patched in underneath a section of tile that had been directly applied to the floor with grout. Our floors had it all! He got matching reclaimed 1.5 inch white oak and now you can't tell what was original and where the boards were replaced.
