Excellent customer service, the staff is very friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I especially enjoyed the Rasta Pasta, the Beef Pattie and the Rum Cake! We plan to visit again soon!

We were visiting Waco from Houston and discovered this spot. Loved the food and atmosphere, plus they serve large portions at fair prices. We got the chicken and goat curry and had enough for leftovers the next day which tasted great the next day, too. Very bummed to read about the fire as we'll be back in Waco in January, really hope the restaurant recovers quickly.

Update: we went back, and the food is STILL AMAZING! If you are anywhere near this place, GO! You will not be disappointed. And make sure to get the Sorrel Ginger drink. So good! ====== We were looking for something new and different, and preferably locally owned. This placed came through for us in shing colors. The interior is welcoming and colorful. And the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We actually found ourselves talking to the owner, who clearly has a passion for the food. He checked in with us several times, and helped us choose dessert and a to go order for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the experience. The jerk chicken was flavorful, with a pleasant but not overpowereing heat. The oxtails were rich and flavorful, with a complex and layered gravy. The sides were very tasty. The desserts we had, rum cake and sweet potato cake, were really good,. The sweet potato cake is a dense, 3 layer cake with cream cheese frosting. Wow. And the rum cake is just the perfect amount of rum. Everything was homemade, and you can taste the love in every bite. We can't wait to go back. It's about an hour drive for us, and we will drive it willingly.
