koKo Ramen

I love the food but so many things go wrong every time I eat here I can't justify additional stars for the review and I'll have to really consider whether it's worth the trouble to keep coming. The tonkatsu ramen does not say that it comes with sweet corn kernels in it, but it does, and I feel like one should be warned about that, it adds a whole different element to the flavor. The menu also says the ramen comes with a marinated egg but none of our 3 orders tonight had one. they charge $2 each for extra eggs but did not give us a discount or say that they were out of eggs. They also mislabeled which ramen was the spicy one, and I ended up unable to eat my dinner because my husband had already eaten the serving that was marked as the spicy one before I sat down- but it turns out he had the mild one. When it's right, Koko Ramen is super good, but be sure to ask about ingredients and if they're out of anything. and remember it's americanized Ramen with Texas BBQ

Used to be great. Not sure what they did. Maybe they changed the spices they add for the different levels of heat, but I have been very disappointed the last 3 times I went. Guess I won't be going back now. FYI i rated this as a 5/5 2 years ago and was one of my favorites.

Not sure if this place has new management or something. But used to be one of my favorite spots in Waco. Went there 12/18 and they didn't have the Brisket add on option (which is what makes it special). The overall body of the ramen (tonkatsu) and ingredients was just totally different. Also union hall overall just was kinda dirty and not very well kept. Anyways yea just don't go here.
