We loved living in one of Shamrock's homes. We were fortunate enough to spend 5 years with them before we bought our new home (February 2024). The move-in process was easy. I remember when Lori showed us the property (April 2019), she was on time and super nice. We loved it and put our deposit down the same day. Anytime we had a maintenance issue, we submitted a work order through their online portal, and they sent the appropriate person out to fix it. It was quick and painless. We paid on time every single month and made sure we kept up the property as if it were our own. Our kids grew up and made friends while we were there, we entertained our friends and family there as well. We loved every aspect of our lives there. We have Shamrock to thank for that. The move out process was easy as well. We had the carpets professionally cleaned (as per our lease), we cleaned the home to make it as easy on Shamrock as possible to make it ready for the new tenants. We want the new tenants to feel welcomed and enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks for reading my rambling. The moral of the review is that Shamrock is awesome and I highly recommend renting from them. Be sure to communicate, treat the home with the utmost respect, and pay on time. If you do these things your experience will be as pleasant as mine

If you want a rental with a management company that literally doesnt replace things that are needed to be replaced and argues with you at every turn, heres your company. From day one, they would not provide the wooden rods to hang up any clothes in the closet, which is a basic need and was extremely inconvenient. We had to provide them and were threatened that if we forgot them during the move out process we would be charge an insane amount of money. We had to leave early by a couple of months due to finally buying a home and they made it extremely difficult work with the moving out process. We just wanted to pay the rent til the end of the lease and be moved out early. We werent allowed to turn in keys early so they could start the move out process sooner to help themselves out and get another tenant in sooner, but then again not our responsibility to make it easier I guess. No where in the lease does it say you cant decorate your home. So I hung up our family photos and shelves for decorating and yet we were charged for nail holes and painting. Even though it clearly states in the lease and cleaning list: You will not be charged for nail holes but will be charged for repairs due to large wall anchors. And we were charged for excessive nail holes and painting when there were no large wall anchors in the wall!!!?! $250 for excessive holes!?!?! Are you saying your tenants cant make the house they are renting feel like a home!? I would definitely think twice about renting from this company. They may be sweet as sugar at the beginning but I only got attitude and disrespect on the way out. They made moving out super difficult and now are charging for things that we were told by maintenance were acceptable holes to not be charged for. They definitely need better communication between their staff and maintenance. Update and response to owner: Again you guys didnt make anything easy moving out and it wasnt a simple fee like you said. We tried to make it easy for you guys, and we were told no thank you. So thats on yall. We were told that upon moving out early that we would pay the reletting fee and rent up until you got some one in there. So no I wasnt going to put my trust into you guys for hurrying up to get someone in there knowing you were going to make more money off of us. So unless we were misinformed about what we actually were required to pay, then youre just making it seemed like Im a disgruntled former tenant. Oh and again sorry that I decorate my home and dont want things to fall off the wall. We were told it was fine by maintenance with the holes that were left. So have a great day and keep lying to your tenants.

Hi Michelle and Brian - THANK YOU for this glowing and very descriptive review of our time together these past 5 years! We are so appreciative that you took the time to give your perspective as a tenant. Most of the time people will only leave a review when they are angry that they didn't get their full deposit returned (and never look at their own behavior as the culprit) - but if everyone treated the property manager-tenant relationship as a PARTNERSHIP such as you did, then we would likely only have positive reviews! We wish you and your family all the best in your new home and are grateful that we were a part of your story!

This is a classic case of someone who just "doesn't get it" and then gets mad about it. These tenants wanted to break their lease 3 months early and were offered the opportunity to pay a reletting fee so that we would start advertising for a new tenant. We would likely have been able to find someone to move in pretty quickly, but they absolutely refused and said they would rather just pay the rent (and utilities) for the three remaining months. Even after they moved out, they continued to insist that they didn't want to pay the reletting fee and kept paying rent on an empty house. So instead of a $1487.50 reletting fee, they paid $5250 in rent - which is probably more the reason why they are mad about the entire process. It may have *finally* dawned on them that it would have been a lot cheaper had they followed the very simple instructions provided. They took every opportunity to argue with our staff and try to make their move out as difficult as possible. And we certainly expect people to hang pictures on the walls, but these people must have been running an art gallery out of the house for the amount of holes all over the walls - either that or they used the walls as a backdrop for a firing squad. We actually counted them because we knew we'd get an argument about the charges. Guess how many? ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY HOLES. In a 4 bedroom house. Over just 9 months of living there. Seriously? Our team takes a lot of effort to be fair during the move out process, but we expect a certain level of consideration and care of the house by the tenant as well, and they treated this house like a freaking pincushion.
