The metal detector guards were pretty chill and amicable. Good on them for being pleasant, notwithstanding their mind-numbingly boring job. The court clerks seem pretty grumpy, but if your entire job was dealing with frustrated, nervous, grumpy people, you'd probably get rubbed off on too, right? At first, I was pretty spooked but she was polite and when I was polite back and didn't take myself too seriously, she even smiled as I left! I left with all the information I needed regarding my hearing and was super satisfied with my experience! Good on these people for being gracious to us wee law breaking delinquents.

These court clerks are some of the most unhelpful employees. Refusal to send me an email so I can set up a new court date. Demanding I come in and sign. Mother of 5 with a combat vet husband living at the VA right now getting treatment. Im having to be provider and caregiver right now and the manager refused to send me documentation. So many justice courts send paperwork electronically and actually want to help the situation and help the public move on with their lives by being accommodating. So disappointed in their attitude and coldness.

Judicial misconduct everywhere. Judges don't evaluate the adjudicative facts to the Utah Rules of Civil Proceedings or Statutes. They mistreat non-represented parties as if they are beneath the court. The judges don't follow the Utah Court Rules example setting hearings on motions before the parties have had the chance to file responses in violation of the URCP7(g), granting motions that do not follow URCP 7(g) and are not served, taking possession of people's property in violation of the US Constitution Amendment 14, Section 1, and make prejudicial rulings based upon personal bias, without any facts, foundation under the rules or law and when called out, simple state they are the judge and can do whatever they want without any regard for the rule of law or the law itself. They do so knowing that non-represented litigants won't know how to challenge them and are at their mercy, which is lacking in every regard for the public. Judges yells at people, talk down to them. Aid and abet their attorney friends to win a case, rather than rule on actual facts in the case, including repeating lies told by their attorney friends not based upon any evidence. Blows off motions, i.e., ignores them. Bullies litigants to push their own agenda in a case. Judges testify from the bench to give character references to their attorney friends, when those friend have been sanctioned in prior cases for the exact same act or misconduct that you ask the court to address and the judges refuse to address attorney misconduct. The judges allow false evidence into cases, i.e., evidence that has been altered, modified from it original source and criminal acts as a defense, when their job is to keep that from going before the jury. They will tell you that you can't make a simple verbal motion in a hearing, yet grant their attorney friends whatever verbal motion they want without any opportunity for the non-represented litigant to be heard. They make rulings over subject matters without jurisdiction and without any motion to cut off pro se litigants off from being heard routinely, to the harm of the pro se litigant. Such judges are not interested in the truth, the rule of law or justice under the law. They are only interested in wielding a sword of dominion and power thumbing the noses as every human and decent purpose of why we have a legal court system. I have worked with cases for over 18 years. I have never seen such in appropriate behavior from judges or a court. This court is a mockery of our judicial system and rule of law in America. It is harmful to Utah and the public.
