Dr. Rivera and his aides are wonderful! The same cannot be said about the current front desk receptionists. They desperately need training in public relations. When I expressed my frustration with one of them, she told me I could go to a different vet. As per her suggestion, thats exactly what Ive done.

Our cat got hit by a car. We took him to Utah Vet Hospital to see what could be done. We were disappointed in his care here and in the workers at this clinic. We were there for 3 hours. Their clinic is dirty and disorganized. They man handled our cat who has tremendous amounts of internal bleeding. Both the tech and the vet had an extremely hard time communicating what our options were. They kept trying to upsell us on different quotes that would include things like nail trimming and grooming. It was incredibly inconsiderate as other options included euthanasia. We got out there as quickly as possible and found a clinic that gave us clear options and truly cares about the outcome of our beloved pet. Would not recommend this facility.

Not an EXOTIC VET no way is it ideal for small animals as they act like they know but they dont. We were charged an extra $30 fee for the technician to hold my rat for the vet to look at it from across the room. Was given alot of medicine ..$260 later that didnt work for my animal or help her eye at all. Very convenient how they make your total larger by adding in multiple technician fees are you kidding me just sad. Cant get in and out of here for less than $300 a visit they make sure. To make an appointment here YOU MUST PAY A DEPOSIT just to get on their schedule this is crazy especially these days you have to pay for their service before you get into be seen. Also to charge $30 more here and there if you have one of your technicians come in to assist you with an animal. You sign something stating you agree to pay $30 extra if a technician has to touch your dog. When i was there the receptionist told an old lady their for anal gland for her tiny dog that if a second technician was needed to hold the dog still she would be CHARGED MORE ????? What the lady looked like she wanted to cry absolutely horrible customer service.

I was referred to this office as they are apparently affordable. I was blessed to have a kind nurse who was trying to help me come up with a plan to lessen the cost. I explained to her just couldn't afford all the tests they wanted to do on my dog. They tried to encourage me to get onto a payment plan. Which I can't do either as I have a ton of debt from having to go through a custody battle and the cost of gas. Not to mention I also having to deal with some other stressful situation. I almost would give them a 5 star because of this nurse but I can't because I had bad experience with one of the receptionist because she treated me like I was a bad owner for not wanting to take their payment plan in the first place and that I just making up stupid excuses for getting out of the care of my dog. When that isn't the case. She doesn't live in my shoes and doesn't know what I'm dealing with. If they truly cared about keeping their prices a reasonable they wouldn't be super insensitive to their clients pet parents. They would try to work with them. I have gone to far better vet clinic where the staff were all sensitive to their clients and purposely kept their prices low because they understood not everyone can afford to go to the vet.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience at Utah Vet Hospital. It sounds like you had a difficult and upsetting situation with your cat, and we completely understand your frustration. If you feel that the care provided to your pet was subpar, it's important to address your concerns directly with the hospital management. Constructive feedback can help them improve their services and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.Additionally, while it's essential to share your experiences with others, it's crucial to ensure that reviews are accurate and fair. False or exaggerated claims can harm the reputation of businesses and individuals unfairly. Also, omitting facts, and stating untruthful details to make your review more damaging, is considered libel. If you choose to leave a review, we encourage you to focus on the specific issues you encountered and how they impacted your overall experience, rather than making broad statements that do not reflect the reality for others. We will directly deal with your concerns in a timely fashion. Thank you!

We're sorry to hear about your perceived experience, but it appears there may be some confusion regarding our services. While we specialize in treating a wide range of animals, including small pets like rats, we do not claim to be exclusively an exotic vet.Regarding the technician fee, we do not charge additional fees for technicians to hold pets during examinations or for vet consultations. Our aim is to provide comprehensive care without unnecessary charges. We understand your frustration with the prescribed medication not yielding the desired results. Sometimes, certain treatments may require adjustments or alternative approaches based on the individual response of the animal.Regarding appointment deposits, this is a common practice in many veterinary clinics to ensure commitment from pet owners and to manage scheduling efficiently. No one comes in without accepting those scheduling fees. We apologize if this inconvenienced you, but it's intended to help provide timely and dedicated care to all our patients. As for any misunderstanding regarding additional technician fees, we would like to clarify that technician assistance is necessary for procedures and pharmacy services. We value all feedback and take customer satisfaction seriously. If there are any further concerns or if you'd like to discuss your experience in more detail, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team. We're here to address any issues and ensure the best possible care for your pet.
