This place is pretty bad. I would not go to Amy Curtis. She is awful, rude and very unprofessional. I can't believe how I was treated by her. I left the place feeling like I was no body.

I'd hate for someone to waste their time to come here. Don't do it!

I would like to share my experience with AMY V. CURTIS. My mother had an appointment here. I had no other choice but to bring my 20-month-old son with me and to help my mother. There are no signs or notifications that children are not allowed. I didn't think anything of it until we were waiting in the waiting room. I had a strong feeling that this place is not kid-friendly. As we entered the room my son was a little wild. We were in such a hurry that I didn't have time to grab toys for entertainment. As a mother I find things to occupie him. I found a piece of paper in my mom's purse that was important paper for her to keep.(I had him doodle on the back side of it) My son was holding the paper with one hand, drawing with lip gloss in the other hand. He was well occupied. AMY V. CURTIS came in the room, she immediately walked over to my son and tries to take the paper out of his hand. Of course, my son pulled back and held on to the paper with a firm grip. AMY grabs his wrist and said "he is making a mess! He needs to wash his hands!" I told her "it's okay!" She continued to yank the paper from him, he is crying and upset. I told her in a firm voice that I have it under control. Amy still continued to wrestle with my son/baby to get it out of his hand. When she got the paper out of his hand she threw the paper away in the trash. I was so upset, I picked my son up, washed his hands, took the paper out of the trash and I walked out. As I got to the car. I started to cry immediately. I was very upset, I felt like I couldn't breathe. I took a few deep breathes and went back to the office. I told my mom that I think it's best if we leave and I would find her a different dermatologist. Amy had NO emotion. I told her that it is NOT okay to touch anyone's child! Amy looked at me with a blank stare and said "sorry" and that she "assumed" he got it out of my purse and he was going to make a mess. He did not make a mess at all. I refused to accept her apology. I told her that she has absolutely NO right to touch or take things away from anyone's child. It was on a piece of paper, I was right there watching him and I AM his mother. She has NO right to do that. Every parent, parents differently and that is okay however, trying to parent someone else's child is not! I communicate with my children and talk to them as a human being, it was disturbing and sick to watch her do such a thing. I am very angry about this situation. It's not right. My poor son probably felt so defeated. I NEVER would treat anyone's or my children like that. I am still in disbelief and I would never, ever recommend going to see AMY V. CURTIS or the facility itself. The other staff lady just sat there and acted it was nothing. It's not a good idea to come here Especially if you have small children! I felt as if me bringing my son in there was a huge inconvenience to them.

I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews, I usually just shrug it off but I did not have a good experience here. I went to Dr Amy a few months back with complaint of random but constant hives. They show up every day in different spots all over my body and they itch, bad! She asked the basic questions, like if I changed body wash or laundry soap we couldn't figure out a change. So instead of contining to help me figure out she kept saying several times to just take an allergy pill everyday. I'm not a pill taker if I can avoid it I do, but she kept insisting it's fine to just take an allergy pill daily. Comparing them to acetaminophen and how they aren't as bad for you. I'm not concerned about that, I want to figure out WHY I'm getting hives and not just put a Bandaid on it will a pill. I also had a small wart on my elbow, I asked her to freeze off while I was there, she did and that went great. Tell I got a bill for $180 for her to do so. She took less than a minute to do a full body mole/skin check, I am fair skin with freckles and a family history of skin cancer, I didn't feel like it was a thorough check at all. Very disappointed.
