I wish I've never re-financed through Cross Country Mortgage. That process was fine, but customer service after that fact is miserable. Anytime you call into customer service, it's well over 20 minute wait times, unfriendly staff, and I can't tell you how many times I've been hung up on. It takes them "30 BUSINESS days" to process paperwork, and you can never talk to the person in charge of your account. I HATE this lender.

April and her team did an excellent job! They came highly recommended and I can say that they did not disappoint. My last experience with a mortgage company didn’t go as smoothly. Thank you!

Thank you April! I received excellent service the entire transaction and she beat everybody's rate! Even when my agent dropped the ball, April stepped in and took care of us and was always friendly to work with

I would not recommend Broch Lassig from Cross Country Mortgage. Rather than being transparent with rates and fees, he tried to rush through a Zoom screen share session to convince me that his preferred option was the best. He was also said that Cross Country was the best option because they are local and can execute quickly in a competitive market where national lenders can't meet closing deadlines. However, we had to push back the closing date multiple times because Broch couldn't meet the deadline. He also said that Cross Country holds the loans on its own books. Yet, my loan was transferred to Chase right after closing.

I truly have never worked with a more unprofessional company. To give you an idea, I did not have my final amount to wire transfer to close on my house until about 20 minutes before closing. The lack of communication and the continuous issues I had with Cross Country Mortgage were ridiculous. It started with them trying to get a verification of employment from somewhere I never even worked (it was my college, which I clearly stated), then they put the wrong name on the prequalified letter, then they lied to me about what the issue with my loan was (they said it was the HOA transfer fee because they didn’t know about it, but that was in my initial documents I signed with them, so clearly they knew about it), then they were supposed to order a payoff and didn’t even know that they were the ones who were supposed to order it (they blamed everyone and anyone else - continuously asking “who’s going to do this”, when they were the only ones who could do it), and just to top it all off, they called me over a week ago asking for the spelling of the person I wanted to add onto the title, and then when I got to closing, they didn’t even send that information over to the title company. All in all, this was a terrible experience from beginning to end and I would truly recommend working with any other company. I will say, Blake apologized on behalf of him and his team and tried to remedy any way he could, but no apology or actions makes up for the experience that I had. I was so excited to purchase my first home and I can honestly say Cross Country Mortgage ruined the entire experience for me. I am truly just glad it’s over.
