Called twice to report a safety issue with a truck driving on I 15 northbound that was covered in mud dropping dirt all over the freeway and hitting my vehicle and others with said dirt and all the company did was hang up on me twice.

Wasatch Tank Lines is one of the only driving jobs I have worked for that treat you like a person rather than a number. The owner, managers, and dispatchers are all very nice and understanding and treat you respectfully. They are very good about giving you time off when you need it. The benefits given are pretty behind compared to industry standard. The employees are under managed and not held accountable for processes and policies, which can lead to you picking up the slack or extending your day to take care of things that should have already been taken care of. There is really no room for advancement even if you express interest. Pay is decent compared to other pay in the industry but there are aspects of pay that are below industry standard. Tractors are newer, while the trailers are fairly old. Sometimes it takes awhile to get things addressed for maintenance issues. The company culture between drivers is not to good, it is sort of every man for themselves and lack of respect for each other. Overall it is an ok company but alot of things could be improved.

I worked out of the Phoenix yard, from Aug 2018 to Sept 2020. My coworkers were fun to be around. We all got along and were able to joke, laugh and be serous when needed. Dispatch was prompt responding to issues and payroll was on point as long as I took care of my part. They worked with me on numerous occasions when I had family or health issues (the owner called to check on me when I went home early with a painfully infected tooth). I always felt appreciated as a person and as a driver. Not all days were great, which happens at a job but I had significantly more good days than bad. I would still be there if I hadn’t moved back to Illinois to take care of family.

I spent my time working for Wasatch Tank Lines out of Phoenix AZ. From starting with the company to the time I left I truly enjoyed my time as a driver. From my manager, to dispatchers, to management, and the owner, I was always treated with respect, kindness, and understanding. The job offered flexibility as a driver to work my hours as long as appointment times were met. Equipment was always consistently in outstanding condition and ready to go every day on the job. Work was consistent through the year, even in some tough economic situations I might add. Wasatch had the benefits, the retirement plan, the equipment, and the exact work I wanted as a driver. My only reason of leaving was to move closer to family across the country, even then it was tough to leave. I would recommend Wasatch Tank Lines to any driver, I thought it was going to be my last stop!
