The iOS App Development Course is a joke. 70% of the material they use is deprecated (out of date/expired). You would be much better off teaching yourself how to code than spending $10k for an expired course. Im not the only person who feels this way either, my entire cohort (group I graduated with) feels the same way. Devmountains Outcomes team is not there to help you get a job after graduation. Its there to make Devmountain look good and make you feel like youre the screw up. Theyll say Theres plenty of jobs out there, keep applying. Maybe theres something wrong with your resume. But its the resume THEY helped me write. Im 100% convinced that their 90% of graduates find a job within 6 months of graduating is completely false data. NONE of my classmates that took the same course as me have found a job in the iOS App Development field. I had asked for a list of the companies that iOS Dev Grads work at. At least 60% of them didnt exist or were out of business. Devmountain is also very different now that they were bought out. A local business owner said he had hired several Devmountain graduates over the last 5 years or so but that he stopped because he said the last three graduates he got were unprepared to contribute and he had to train them from the ground up on how to program. TDLR: Devmountain is a scam, dont give them your money.

5 stars because most of my teachers were awesome! Unfortunately, there are thousands of applicants per every entry level position currently, so you'll need more than a bootcamp certificate to get an IT job (unless you win the IT lottery).

I had an overall positive experience at Devmountain during my 16-week remote program for software engineering. The first 8 weeks were excellent with helpful teachers. However, the second half of the program was not as great. While the videos were helpful, I often felt lost and my teacher didn't seem to have the necessary knowledge to assist me. This second half may be better suited for self-learners. My disappointment was with the outcomes department. They talked a big game about job placement but only taught us how to dress and act in interviews. They didn't seem to have any connections to assist us in finding jobs. It seems like Devmountain is losing money having an outcomes department. The program is expensive, but it's an excellent place for self-learners. However, for those like myself who are average, it can be challenging. My suggestion for Devmountain is to have career fairs that are entry-level friendly for beginner programmers. The one career fair I attended was only for experienced programmers, which was a waste of time. Overall, Devmountain has lots of room for improvement in their program.
