As a birth mother, I couldnt have asked for a better agency if I had designed one myself. I cannot stress the peace of mind this agency brought me. Jodi, and Wendy are absolute angels

I was considering placing my child up for adoption after getting out of a domestic violence situation and was pregnancy trapped by a violent ex fianc I was with. This place is very unprofessional they will not return phone calls and are not consistent. I think its a scam. I decided to go a different route do not use this place if you are considering placing a child up for adoption

We had a great experience with Heart to Heart (our son was just placed with us in July). The staff is very caring, both towards adoptive families and birth mothers. Throughout the process, they were encouraging but also realistic (we worked with Darla and she didn't sugarcoat things, but always helped us keep the faith). This balanced approach is really appreciated. Highly recommend Heart to Heart!

My husband and I started the adoption journey in December 2021. However, Heart To Heart was not our first agency we signed up with. Had we known about this agency sooner, we wouldve signed up with them from the very beginning. Our start in the adoption journey was not very pleasurable! My husband and I got signed on with a really crooked agency in our home state of South Carolina! Most of the adoption agencies that are in the state of South Carolina, are either southern Baptist or heavily religious affiliated. After we got royally over by a religious agency. One of the biggest things we did not want to do was sign on with another religious agency! 4 of the major main things that we were looking for before signing on with another agency was: 1) Absolutely no religious affiliation (business and religion, completely separated) 2) How soon do they present EMs to waiting families? 3) How soon do they offer housing assistance to EMs and how they go about assisting EMs and whats their process at handling that? 4) How well are they screening EMs? After calling several adoption agencys Heart to heart was the only agency that we felt comfortable signing on with and trust me we did ALOT of shopping for different agencies. We were on the phone every day calling agencies and trying to find the best one we felt comfortable with. One of the biggest things that we constantly came in front of was several agencies did not want to take the time to talk on the phone and answer questions. The majority of the time, most agencies we called wanted to send a info packet to email. Very few took the time to actually stay on the phone and answer questions and hear our concerns! Because believe us after losing thousands of dollars from another agency and being scammed by homeless meth head expectant mom. We were EXTREMELY cautious about the next agency we signed on with. Heart to Heart literally took time to talk with us over the phone and there were multiple times that we needed to call them because we had questions and every time, they took time to speak with us! In January 2023 we signed on with Heart to Heart and by May 2023 we were already matched with our sons BM! Another thing that we liked about Heart to Heart was they really do their best to screen the EMs to make sure that waiting families dont get scammed. But what really caught our curiosity was how they operated in helping EMs. They will not even offer assistance until a EM is 26 weeks pregnant. Also, they will not present cases until the EM is over 30 weeks pregnant. This was the only adoption agency that we had seen do this. A lot of other agencies that we called started presenting EMs as soon as 18 weeks pregnant! Which is way too soon for a EM to be presented from a agency. Of course, its always possible to get scammed in adoption but having the right agency can make a huge difference! And this agency (Heart to Heart) fully earned our trust! Going through the adoption process is very stressful this agency literally made things better and the process smoother!
