I always appreciate an honest review from real clients and their actual experience doing a transaction with me. A positive review is the highest form of a compliment that I can receive and I extremely respect someone taking the time to share their about me story. Well in the spirit of honesty Shawn’s review is not completely true; therefore, I am addressing the contents to set the record straight. Shawn contacted me several years ago and we had a very brief dialog, so I added him to my contact list to help him keep posted on what is happening in the real estate market. A while ago he asked me to remove him from future notifications, which I will always do as per someone’s request. So, I deleted his information from the system I was using, or at least I thought I had. However, a few months later the system inadvertently sent another email to him unbeknownst to me, from an old schedule of which I was not aware within in the program. After Shawn had received the notification he emailed to inform me of the new email and express his frustration. I had no idea that the email had been sent to him until after the event. Exasperated, I contacted the system’s technical support team to find out why the email had been sent. After several hours of researching and discussing the citation with them, I was informed the database retains a backup of each contact just in case an individual gets deleted accidently of which I did not know about until then. The email was never an attempt to harass Shawn, but this flaw exposed Shawn to another unattended email which is unfortunate. To set the record straight, I don’t support harassment activities of any kind it is a bad business practice that I do not engage in. Once I Realized the mistake had been made, tried to make up for the inconvenience to Shawn by purchasing a gift to attempt to resolve this misunderstanding and put the whole matter to rest. I drove over to his home on three different occasions to deliver the gift and offer my apologies. On the third attempt Shawn answered the door I tried to explain the issue, but he was disgruntled and annoyed by my presents and he would not accept the gift or apology. I asked him if he could remove the review which he replied he was going to leave it, so I left and was surprised by his response. Shawn also claims in his review, that I assisted him with a purchasing a property in the past. That statement is simply not true, I have NEVER participated with him in any type of real estate transaction. It is unfortunate that this whole event happened, but more so that someone is willing to make up stories to defame a person’s character in an attempt to hurt their business. Shawn wrote a negative review, about me as a rebuttal to some accidental contacts that were sent to him over a period of time by a system that was flawed in its design. I am sorry for the whole sequence of events, but I the spirit of forgiveness I tried to handle the circumstances to the best of my abilities and I have moved on. Sometimes there are mistakes made in life and hopefully people can realize that these things happen, and the right thing to do is forgive and forget otherwise too much hate will exist in our lives.
