Bennington Potters

Place is very nice, the pottery stuff is also really good and rare to get anywhere else. Which brings me to the downside of this business. I am from Europe and do not have an US credit card. You cannot buy anything online without a US credit card - seriously, Bennington??? What kind of customer service is this? This is ridiculous in 2018. So if from the non-US either drive to their store (and bring cash) or you might not be able to get one of their pieces. *** Update 2022: International Credit Cards seem to work now, international shipping may require calling them, as you can only select USA from the shipping form. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4. ***

Place is still closed for COVID as of March 2022. Pretty sad. Not sure why retail is still closed but I hope they can make it. We have a few potters in our family and wanted to check it out. I hope they do not close forever. Looked like it was falling apart.

I grew up in Bennington and was in the store quite often. After 56 years we still have some of the trivets. The mugs we have passed on. A great memory to travel there.

We placed a large order and had one flawed piece that had a large brown discoloration. We emailed the company politely requesting a replacement, and they replied telling us condescendingly that it was a "first quality piece" and "unique." I filled out the claims form on their site and emailed it in. Six days went by with no reply. This morning I called the company and spoke with Lynn. All she did was read back the same email they had sent before and told me that was their response. I asked directly and she said that they refused to replace the piece. I would therefore recommend against ordering from this company since they refuse to take any responsibility for poor quality pieces.
