Years ago a relative was brought here with a heart attack. They were kept there for hours with no cardiologist because its a holiday and he wont come in. My relative decompensated and was airlifted to Albany. They didnt survive. Albany doctor said had they gotten there 5 minutes sooner they would not have passed away. Thanks for keeping my relative in Bennington for 4+ hours doing nothing with no cardiologist SVMC.
My experiences have not been any better. I had a specialist throw papers at me and tell me there was nothing I could do about my symptoms. The specialist was totally unhinged and was in clear need of psychiatric care himself. I also had the infusion center at SVMC refuse an infusion order from a Dartmouth hematologist. My hematologist said he has never in many years of practicing had any issues with his orders not being accepted by another hospital. It was absurd that I had to drive to NH for basic infusions. There is no coordination of care despite Dartmouth slapping their name on this subpar 1 star hospital. I would not trust them for an emergency or even basic routine care.

5 stars for the wonderful care of my mother-in-law. To the wonderful staff in the ER, OR, PACU, and ICU. For her awesome surgeons, Dr. MacGregor, Dr. Silverberg and Dr. Salem. A very sincere and heartfelt thank you!

If you can go to another hospital please do! The nursing staff is lazy, and have bad attitudes unbelievable to pay nurses to sit all day and use their cell phones! Had to call the patient advocate just to get help! 5+hrs and still waiting!!

This review is for the amazing, sweet, an very helpful driver of the shuttle bus named Dolly. She was so kind to my son and I a couple weeks ago when my mother had been admitted. Sometimes doing something small to help someone having a stressful or bad day can make a world of difference and she helped me in that way. I wish more people were as wonderful as her. I hope SVMC appreciates what a amazing person she is and a asset to have working there.

Waiting n the ER too long. Even it is not so busy.
They took whoever they want first.
Come on , no one wants to be there unless they are in sudden need of help.
