My mother was admitted to this facility on March 27, 2023 to recover from a 2/17/23 hip fracture. On most mornings, she is awakened at 4:45 or 5 AM by staff members who enter the room to provide baths to the two roommates (one on either side of her) - and turn overhead lights on in her eyes. (Curtains do not shade the light because of an about one foot space between the ceiling and curtains.) It is EXTREMELY difficult for my mother to get back to sleep after these ridiculously early morning bright light disruptions. For some bizarre reason, staff members have also pricked her finger for a glucometer reading at 5 AM, 2.5 to 3 hours before breakfast is served. My mother has discussed this issue with the physician caring for her at this facility - who advised that there is no medical reason to have blood glucose measurements taken 3 hours before the breakfast meal, AND recognizes that the sleep interruption by bright lights in her face is detrimental to her recovery. However, the 4:45 or 5 AM awakenings are STILL happening! If I had any choice financially about finding a more compassionate and humane facility with staff who cares about not interrupting patients' sleep (vital to healing and their alleged resumption of independence goal, my mother would be long gone from this facility!

I spent a week here. Yup, it's on the old side (formerly a miltary installation I''ve been told). But it's clean and the staff is the real attraction here....they are saints (and I told them so when I was there...just love them all there).

Dear Stephanie, Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we are truly sorry. In order to remedy this, we have purchased special bedside lamps throughout the facility. Again thank you for bringing this to our attention. As we strive to provide excellence in quality of care and resident satisfaction; through exceptional customer service. Please reach out to Jennifer at the facility if there is anything else we can do to accommodate your mother. Respectfully, Management
