Econo Lodge Rutland City near Hwy 7

Not the experience anyone should get when checking in....we drove 10 hours away from Canada as our first stop to get rest before our snowboard trip the next day, when we arrived we were rudely told by the front desk staff as to what we were doing here and told him we were checking in. He told us no and that the room was canceled, which we never did. We checked our email to make sure we got a notification of any cancelation, and none was to be found. (We only found out later that they overbooked other customers and cancelled them too) we asked if they had other rooms and they said no so now we had to book a room last minute at another hotel nearby for 3 times the price. Not impressed and anybody else who wants to book here because it's a cheap place to stay, don't bother. They'll just waste your time and money when you can look for a deal elsewhere.

Worst experience ever. Booked room for 2 nights paid and showed up clerk then informs me cancelled no room at the inn even though I had already paid. They clearly did me a favor because it was run down smelly and unsafe. Incompetence is not an acceptable excuse. These inn keepers / fraudsters should be required to surrender their license to house people. Worst place ever!!!!!

Booked a room for one night and was informed two weeks later that the booking was cancelled. Said they overbooked. Very disappointed with the service.

My wife and I would have rated this place a negative 5 if that was possible. It's absolutely awful and infested with bed bugs. My friend, our family, and I had to switch hotels in the middle of the night. Don't bother spending your time or money at this terrible place. The owner, Pavan, is very rude and unhelpful to guests. Be cautious, as he and his wife often use fake names.
