The North Star 🌟 Motel is exceptionally clean and the staff are graciously hospitable! The owner is professional and customer-focused. Accommodations are comfortable and cozy. The Continental breakfast is a plus; however, it can use a little sprucing up. An added benefit is that there is a marvelous, family-owned Thai restaurant next door called “Bangkok Thai Cafe”! Terrible rude owner woman and crew! Dated 1950’s it seems, spartan, rooms old cramped, can be noisey w/walls cause no insulation, somewhat smelly cause its old, location poor, congested, no services nearby, poor value for dollar & god awful! Do not book! You’ll be sorry! Go the extra 20-30$ or less a night for a hotel for what they will-charge you.... Read reviews where people, have been blamed for others smoking. This place is not so nice. DO NOT give them a debit card with your money, you could be in the cold! People have been ripped off here too, I know a person whom, debit card was double charged and it took 3-5 days, to get it back, almost ruining and bankrupting their stay! Other cases too, just dig, think about that...... I would also advise complaining to you credit card providor & let them start to inquire with the reviews should this this happen to you! For a large amount, there’s always legal recourse. If you absolutely have to spend a night or 2 cause there’s nothing else, cash only 1 night at a time with these people. There is also apparently an apartment complex or something, part of the old motel it seemed, in the back, where they have the low class trashy locals right next to tourists... Not a wonderful trip!
